Report: Gervonta Davis, Frank Martin Agree to WBA Lightweight Title Fight Contract

Gervonta Davis will put his WBA lightweight boxing title belt on the line against Frank Martin later this year, per ESPN's Mike Coppinger, who provided more details:

This will be Davis' first time fighting since he defeated Ryan Garcia via seventh-round TKO last April. The 29-year-old sports a 29-0 lifetime record with 27 knockouts. ESPN ranks him as the world's No. 2 lightweight.

Martin, who is also 29, is 18-0 with 12 lifetime knockouts. The southpaw last fought in July, when he beat Artem Harutyunyan by unanimous decision. He's seventh on ESPN's lightweight list.
