Patrick Beverley Calls Out 76ers for Replacing Him with Kyle Lowry: 'How Dare You'

It's safe to say Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley has his team's Feb. 25 road game against the Philadelphia 76ers circled on the calendar.

Beverley started the season in Philadelphia but was traded to the Bucks ahead of the deadline. The 76ers then signed Kyle Lowry after the veteran completed a contract buyout with the Charlotte Hornets.

"I respect it, right," Beverley said on the Pat Bev Pod. "Doc [Rivers] came and got his guy—me—and [Nick] Nurse went and got his guy—Kyle. But now I see Nurse's hand. Man, I'm on Kyle's ass when we play Philly. Straight up. That's just how it goes. That's just how it goes, like, how dare you?"

Lowry is the more accomplished player with an NBA title and six All-Star selections, but he also turns 38 years old in March and averaged just 8.2 points and 4.0 assists in 37 games for the Miami Heat this season before they traded him to Charlotte.

Beverley is more known for his defense as a three-time All-Defensive selection and can provide energy off the bench for the Bucks' second unit. He will surely be asked to defend point guards like Lowry in key moments of playoff series, and his comments will only serve to raise the stakes when the 76ers and Bucks face each other.
