Juan Soto: Yankees 'Have Everything We Need' to Win 2024 MLB World Series
New York Yankees star Juan Soto is confident his new team has the pieces to go all the way in 2024.
The veteran outfielder told reporters Monday the Bronx Bombers "have everything we need" for a World Series run. He also spoke excitedly about donning the pinstripes in the Big Apple.

Some might disagree with Soto's assessment a bit.
Acquiring the three-time All-Star remains the Yankees' only significant move of the offseason. Trading for Alex Verdugo provides some needed help to the outfield, while signing Marcus Stroman offset some of the talent loss from the rotation thanks to the Soto trade.
That transaction is the only one, however, that can potentially raise New York's ceiling in a meaningful way.
MLB.com's Mark Feinsand reported the Yanks have offered a contract to National League Cy Young winner Blake Snell, but that still might be a long shot.
Especially if the front office is unsuccessful in its pursuit of Snell, one can't help but wonder whether New York is failing to do everything it can to improve its championship odds.
"If everyone can stay healthy, this team has the pieces to be a legitimate title contender, but a general lack of quality depth raises some questions about their ability to weather the injury bug," Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter wrote in January when he listed the Yankees fourth in his power rankings.
Hope always springs eternal, though, and Soto's arrival will have plenty of fans excited for Opening Day on March 28.
New York starts with series against the Houston Astros, Arizona Diamondbacks and Toronto Blue Jays. That difficult stretch presents a great opportunity for the team to make a clear statement of intent.
