WWE News: Possible WrestleMania 28 Plans for Zack Ryder Revealed

Zack Ryder made a dramatic climb up the card in 2011 and is now officially one of the most popular superstars in all of the WWE. 

He’s earned himself one heck of a following on the Internet and should get a reasonably high-profile match at WrestleMania 28. 

As we’ve seen in the past, the WWE loves to bring in celebrities for its biggest pay-per-view of the year, often putting them in matches against someone they have some sort of connection with. Now, when you see Ryder, what pop culture phenomenon does he remind you of? 

Well, Jersey Shore, of course. And it looks like another cast member from the show could be following in the footsteps of Snooki for a WrestleMania match with Ryder this year.

Someone in WWE creative recently brought up the idea of having Zack Ryder and The Situation from MTV’s Jersey Shore do something at WrestleMania 28 in Miami.

Please, WWE. Don’t do it. 

While I will admit that Jersey Shore is a guilty pleasure of mine and I will indeed be DVRing it tonight, I do not want to see “The Situation” anywhere near a WWE ring. 

We’ve already seen the majority of the Jersey Shore cast in either TNA or WWE, and—though Snooki surprised me with her athleticism at last year’s WrestleMania—I’m just feeling a little bit of Jersey Shore overload lately. 

I mean, every time I turn on the TV, I see Snooki whoring it up, JWoww’s double D twins hanging out of her shirt or Pauly D spinning records. Enough is enough. 

I realize that Ryder’s got the whole Jersey Shore-type gimmick going on, but it’s not going to do much for him to have a match with “The Situation,” who isn’t even trained to wrestle. It’s going to make Ryder come off as a bigger goofball than he already does when he should be getting more serious in order to make his way up the card. 

Plus, we all know that, given “The Situation’s” Dancing with the Stars background, we’re bound to see some sort of dance-off between he and Ryder that is reminiscent of “The Michael Cole Challenge.” 

And that’s the absolute last thing I want to see on WWE TV.
