Sonya Deville Marries Girlfriend Toni Cassano; Mandy Rose, WWE Stars Attend Wedding

WWE Superstar Sonya Deville married fiancée and longtime girlfriend Toni Cassano in a ceremony attended by 140 guests at The Legacy Castle in Deville's home state of New Jersey on Saturday.

Deville, whose real name is Daria Berenato, told Alex Ross of People that there was a large contingent of pro wrestlers at her wedding, saying: "I think we have two and a half tables or three tables of just WWE people. We have our neighbors coming and old family friends, and so it's like this big wrestler next to my little neighbor. There's going to be some funny pairings there."

Former WWE Superstar Mandy Rose, who is one of Deville's closest friends and spent years as her tag team partner in WWE, was among those in attendance.

Other guests included current WWE stars Bayley, Bianca Belair, Montez Ford, Charlotte Flair, Andrade, Liv Morgan and Chelsea Green. Current WWE NXT announcer Vic Joseph, former WWE NXT backstage interviewer McKenzie Mitchell and former WWE Superstar Matt Cardona were also present.

The wedding was also officiated by former Extra and E! News host Maria Menounos, who has deep WWE ties as well, having made several guest appearances for the company.

When Deville competed on the WWE reality show Tough Enough in 2015, she told the panel selecting contestants that she was gay. WWE signed her to a contract later that year, making her the first openly gay female wrestler in the company's history.

The former MMA fighter has enjoyed great success in WWE both as an in-ring performer and an authority figure, but she is currently out of action with an injury.

Deville and Green beat Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships back in July, marking Deville's first title win of any kind in WWE.

However, two weeks later, Deville suffered a torn ACL during a match against Belair and Flair.

While the injury came at an inopportune time since Deville had just won a championship, it afforded her the chance to get married, and it will allow her and her new wife to go on a honeymoon to Costa Rica, per Ross.
