New snag in the A's relocation plan: The mayor of the city the team announced it was moving to wants them to go back to Oakland.

Carolyn Goodman, mayor of Las Vegas, who isn't a fan of the A's $1.5B stadium plan, said yesterday:

• 'I personally think (the A's have) got to figure out a way to stay in Oakland to make their dream come true'

To recap:

• MLB owners approved the move to Vegas last November, a final step in alienating its fans in Oakland

• The team hopes to be in Vegas by 2028, but still doesn't have a plan for where it will play from 2025-27

• The mayor of their future city is now telling them to go back to the city ownership has alienated

It's a mess.
