Sean McDermott: Bills Won't 'Strip It Down to the Studs' After Loss to Chiefs
The Buffalo Bills failed to reach the AFC Championship Game for the third straight year and were eliminated by the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs for the third time in four seasons, but head coach Sean McDermott told reporters on Tuesday the organization needed to make some adjustments going forward, not wholesale changes.
"This is not a situation where you strip it down to the studs," he said. "You really start with understanding the success that we've had and how we've gotten it. Then you make tweaks along the way to try and get ourselves to become world champions... We have not reached that ultimate goal however in terms of why we came here, and we will work tirelessly to do that."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Bills have some serious financial questions heading into the offseason, however, with Spotrac projecting them to be around $43.6 million over the salary cap already. And that's before potentially trying to re-sign pending free agents like safety Micah Hyde, wideout Gabe Davis or defensive tackle DaQuan Jones, among others.
A big part of that is quarterback Josh Allen holding a $47 million cap hit next season. Such is the reality for organizations with franchise quarterbacks on their second contracts. But despite the team's inability to get past the Chiefs yet again and the looming cap situation, Allen isn't losing hope.
"I believe in what we've got going on here and the people that are in charge," he told reporters Monday. "I believe in myself. And that'll never change."
