Marcus Stroman: Yankees 'Definitely' Capable of 'Deep October Run' with Juan Soto
Marcus Stroman believes his new squad is capable of a deep postseason run.
Per MLB.com's Bryan Hoch, the New York Yankees starting pitcher, who signed with the team last week, believes the Yankees can have a successful postseason, especially after adding slugger Juan Soto.
"I think we're capable of definitely having a deep October run," Stroman said. "... Adding [Juan] Soto to this lineup, I think he's the best hitter in baseball."

Stroman is looking to hold things down for the Yankees defensively this season while counting on the powerful lineup anchored by Soto and Aaron Judge.
Last year with the Chicago Cubs, Stroman posted a 10-9 record, notching 119 strikeouts and a 3.95 ERA in 136.2 innings pitched. Now, he'll join the Yankees' rotation alongside reigning Cy Young Award winner Gerrit Cole.
Stroman and Soto are looking to help New York get back to its first World Series since defeating the Philadelphia Phillies in 2009.
