CM Punk Announced for WWE Elimination Chamber in Australia in Updated Schedule

CM Punk is headed to Australia.

Max Laughton of Fox Sports Australia confirmed the "Best in the World" has been added to next month's Elimination Chamber in Perth.

"Excited to be back in Australia to stare at all my fans with this overtly sexy gaze. Let's go Perth!" Punk wrote on Instagram.

There is still no word on what Punk will be doing at the event, but he would be a natural choice to be a participant in an Elimination Chamber match. He's been building a feud with Seth Rollins since his shocking return in November, and it would make storyline sense if Rollins—a fighting champion—wound up defending his title in the Chamber.

WWE could also book the men's Chamber match to have the winner go on to WrestleMania and take on Rollins, if the Royal Rumble winner, as assumed, goes after Roman Reigns.

Punk has not wrestled on WWE television since his return. His only two matches were against Dominik Mysterio on the WWE house show tour over the holidays.

Currently, there are no known matches set for Perth. Odds are WWE will ramp up the build in the weeks following this month's Royal Rumble event.
