The 34-year-old Kelce is in his 11th NFL season, all with the Chiefs. He's a nine-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro who also made the Pro Football Hall of Fame's All-2010s Team.
Kelce finished this season with 93 catches, 924 yards and five touchdowns in 15 games. He ended second in the NFL among tight ends in receiving yards and third in receptions.
He's still among the best tight ends in the game, so it's not as if he may consider retirement due to deteriorating skills. Ultimately, he could have a lot left in the tank.
Plus, he's in a great environment in Kansas City, which should be competing for Super Bowls as long as quarterback Patrick Mahomes is in town. Mahomes and Kelce have won two Super Bowls together since 2019, and they are shooting for their third this year.
So it's clear Kelce does not have retirement on his mind. Rather, he's focused on going for his third Lombardi Trophy. First up is a home game with the Miami Dolphins in the AFC Wild Card round on Saturday evening.
