Eagles Blasted by NFL Fans for Late-Season Collapse After Blowout Loss to Giants
It was a difficult day for the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Eagles were already locked into a playoff spot but needed a victory and a little help in order to take home the NFC Division title. Even if the division title wasn't meant to be, a win over the New York Giants would have reversed some late season negative momentum and sent the team to the postseason on a positive note.
Instead, it was a complete disaster.

The Giants jumped out to a 24-0 halftime lead and never looked back, earning a blowout victory and sending the Eagles to the postseason as losers of four of the last five games.
Tyrod Taylor was excellent under center for New York, going 23-of-32 for 297 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Saquon Barkley had 46 yards and two touchdowns on the ground while also adding two catches for 51 yards in the passing game.
The Eagles offense struggled mightily, only producing 299 yards. Jalen Hurts left the game with a finger injury after starting 7-of-16 for 55 yards and an interception.
This result comes after a "players-only meeting" hosted by A.J. Brown following the Eagles Week 17 loss to the Arizona Cardinals became public knowledge, something social media had fun with.
The shocking blowout loss had fans tossing criticism the Eagles way and doubting the teams chances at repeating as NFC Champions.
The Eagles spent much of the season with the top seed and a first-round bye as the goal. However, a home playoff game isn't even in the cards now and a potential playoff run will need some luck and a quick turnaround.
That chance will come in the Wild Card round when the Eagles head south to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
