Eagles Rumors: A.J. Brown Led Players-Only Meeting After Upset Loss to Cardinals
The reigning NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles are limping to the finish line of the 2023 season with four losses in their last five games, but wide receiver A.J. Brown reportedly did what he could to turn around the vibes.
According to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, Brown was "the voice of reason this week" and organized a players-only meeting following the most recent loss to the Arizona Cardinals:

Glazer noted Brown also apologized to his teammates because they had to "answer for me and my emotions" during the recent struggles.
The wide receiver was seen appearing to yell at Jalen Hurts during a game against the Kansas City Chiefs earlier this season and is known for sometimes being emotional on the sidelines.
Yet he has taken steps to bring the team closer together. Eagles right tackle Jordan Mailata revealed during an appearance on SportsRadio 94WIP that Brown even organized a team outing to an escape room "just to build camaraderie."
There was a time when it seemed like the Eagles may be well on their way to a second consecutive Super Bowl when they started 10-1 with victories over the Chiefs, Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins.
However, a blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Dec. 3 jump started something of a nosedive that included losses to the Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks and Cowboys in a rivalry game rematch. The defense was missing in action during a 35-31 loss to Arizona, while the offense failed to reach the 20-point mark against the 49ers, Cowboys and Seahawks.
Philadelphia will be looking to get right against the 5-11 New York Giants on Sunday, but it needs some help to claim the NFC East title.
The Eagles would clinch the division if they defeated the Giants and the Cowboys tied or lost to the 4-12 Washington Commanders. Philadelphia could also win the division with a tie against New York and a Dallas loss.
Even if the Commanders don't come through for the Eagles, Brown is attempting to get his team ready for the playoffs.
