New York Yankees fan-favorite Bernie Williams has enjoyed his second career as a musician, and he's on the verge of a monumental performance.

Per the Associated Press (via ESPN), Williams will make his New York Philharmonic debut on April 24 as part of the orchestra's spring gala led by future music director Gustavo Dudamel at Lincoln Center's David Geffen Hall.

The former center fielder is also a classically trained guitarist who began playing at the age of seven. He released two recordings in 2003 and 2009 and has performed around the world. He published a book titled Rhythm of the Game in which he said he "bared his soul" about the ties between music and sports.
