Georgia TE Brock Bowers Declares for 2024 NFL Draft; No. 2 Prospect on B/R Big Board

One of the best players in college football is headed to the next level.

Georgia Bulldogs tight end Brock Bowers announced on his Instagram page Tuesday that he is officially entering the 2024 NFL draft. He also reflected back on the "memories that will last a lifetime" he made when playing for Georgia:

All indications are that Bowers will be one of the first players selected in the draft.

In addition to his spot on B/R's NFL Scouting Department big board—which lists him as the No. 2 overall player behind Marvin Harrison Jr. and the best receiver, best blocker, most versatile and most pro-ready among tight ends—he was the No. 4 pick in the department's November mock draft.

He is also talented enough to overcome any stigmas about selecting a tight end in the top-10 picks.

"But Bowers is so explosive, so strong and such a rare YAC threat that none of those concerns apply," Derrik Klassen said. "The two-time national champion, who led his team in receptions and receiving yards during both of those runs, has one-of-a-kind vision and movement skills in the open field for a tight end prospect. He's also spectacular at the catch point."

Bowers arrived at Georgia as a 4-star prospect in the class of 2021, per 247Sports' composite rankings, and more than lived up to expectations during his collegiate career.

He helped lead the Bulldogs to two College Football Playoff national championships with 175 catches for 2,538 yards and 26 touchdowns in 40 games throughout his career.

Bowers dealt with injuries this past season, which prevented him from building on his individual momentum after he posted more than 120 yards and scored in three straight games during the middle of the season against UAB, Auburn and Kentucky.

But he will surely be one of the most notable players in the draft and has the talent to be an immediate contributor for whichever team selects him.
