NFL Futures Betting Odds 2023-24: Best Picks for Super Bowl 58 Entering Week 13

Joseph ZuckerDec 1, 2023

All eyes will be on Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday as two of the NFC's top Super Bowl contenders will look to establish themselves as the class of the conference.

The Philadelphia Eagles host the San Francisco 49ers in a rematch of last year's NFC title game. This time around, the Niners won't have to lean on their fourth-string quarterback.

Whoever comes out on top will almost certainly establish themselves as the Super Bowl favorite in the eyes of oddsmakers.

There won't be the same kind of consequential battle among the AFC's elite. The Baltimore Ravens are off. The Miami Dolphins take on the Washington Commanders. And the Kansas City Chiefs get the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football.

The Denver Broncos' trip to The Lone Star State to play the Houston Texans could provide some intrigue with both jostling for wild-card position. An emphatic victory for either could significantly change how their postseason credentials are considered.

The Dallas Cowboys have provided decades' worth of evidence to question whether they can go all the way. In the seasons when they weren't bad to mediocre, they raised their fans' expectations only to fall flat in the postseason.

In its two biggest tests of 2023 so far, Dallas couldn't get the job done against San Francisco or Philadelphia.

And yet, a performance like the one the Cowboys delivered Thursday against the Seattle Seahawks can't help but make you question whether this is the year it all comes together. Dak Prescott threw for 299 yards and three touchdowns, while Dallas went for 136 yards combined on the ground.

At +900, the Cowboys aren't a massive value play but leave enough room for bettors to earn a good profit should they lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Outside of the NFC's top three, the Minnesota Vikings could be worth a flier given their long odds (+12000).

Wide receiver Justin Jefferson is expected to come back for their Week 14 game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Their bye this week also gives head coach Kevin Stefanski and Josh Dobbs some time to figure out what led to the quarterback's four interceptions in a 12-10 loss to the Chicago Bears.

Sure, betting on Minnesota to win the Super Bowl is probably akin to lighting your money on fire, but you don't have to risk much in order to secure what would be a healthy return.

Imagine someone telling you at the start of the season the Houston Texans and Buffalo Bills would have the same Super Bowl odds by Week 13.

Perhaps it's time to throw in the towel on the Bills as a title contender. Josh Allen is tied for the league lead in interceptions (13), and the defense is fresh off allowing 37 points and 378 yards to the Eagles. Sooner or later the proof is in the pudding.

Still, this is a team that made the playoffs in each of the last four seasons and was considered one of the top threats to the Kansas City Chiefs' AFC supremacy entering the year.

The Bills' bye couldn't have come at a better time since they can reset a bit heading into their Week 14 clash with the Kansas City Chiefs. The outcome of that game could either reassert their status as a genuine challenger or basically serve as a final nail in their coffin.
