Waiver Wire Week 12: Fantasy Projections for Top Pickups and Sleeper Targets

NFL injuries keep piling up and sending fantasy football managers to the waiver wire.

Luckily, there appear to be some roster reinforcements ahead of Week 12.

We'll spotlight one potential pickup available in 50-plus percent of Yahoo leagues, per FantasyPros, at each of the three marquee positions.

Odell Beckham Jr., WR, Baltimore Ravens (30 Percent Rostered)

Odell Beckham Jr. was once a fantasy star, but at this point of his career, he's often struggled to hold even sleeper appeal.

At least, that was the case before a recent hot streak suggested he could suddenly become an asset again.

He had 40-plus receiving yards and a touchdown catch in Weeks 9 and 10. While he couldn't keep his scoring streak going in Week 11, he did haul in four passes for a season-high 116 yards.

The Ravens, who lost top pass-catcher Mark Andrews to an ankle injury Thursday, suddenly have targets available in this offense, and Beckham has positioned himself to receive a not insignificant portion of them. If he's getting opportunities this week, he has a great chance to make them count against a Los Angeles Chargers defense allowing the second-most fantasy points to receivers, per Yahoo.

Projected stats: Five receptions, 83 yards, one touchdown

Zach Charbonnet had popped up on some waiver wire columns in recent weeks as a solid speculative add.

For Week 12, though, the rookie second-rounder has become a priority add in the wake of Kenneth Walker III's oblique injury.

Walker hasn't officially been ruled out, but he hasn't practiced this week and seems like a long shot (at best) to make it back in time for Thursday's tussle with the San Francisco 49ers. If Walker can't go in that contest, Charbonnet could be handled like a featured back, which could be fascinating to see.

While the matchup is tricky, the potential volume at play is too great to overlook. Plus, Charbonnet has looked good when called upon, delivering a healthy 4.9 yards per carry and collecting 19 of his 23 targets.

Projected stats: 62 rushing yards, 22 receiving yards, one touchdown

Baker Mayfield, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (47 Percent Rostered)

Baker Mayfield was enjoying a nice run before the schedule-makers disrupted it by giving him a Week 11 date with the San Francisco 49ers and their stingy defense.

Now, the schedule-setters could help him get back on track against an Indianapolis Colts defense allowing the 13th-most fantasy points to the position.

Prior to Week 11, he'd tallied two touchdown passes in three consecutive contests. He also averaged 260 passing yards and threw a single interception during that stretch.

His ceiling isn't super high, but if you're hoping to find a solid streamer, he's your guy.
