NFL Futures Betting Odds 2023-24: Best Picks for Super Bowl 58 Entering Week 11

Michelle BrutonNov 17, 2023

While Week 10 of the NFL season featured several exciting matchups for teams in the playoff race, the clubs at the top of each conference spent the weekend resting up for the stretch run.

The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, the current No. 1 seeds in the AFC and NFC, respectively, both had a bye week while preparing to face off on Monday Night Football in Week 11. The matchup could be both a Super Bowl rematch and, if Vegas is right, a Super Bowl preview.

While the Chiefs and Eagles watched, however, several teams used Week 10 to get back on track and make the playoff picture a little bit clearer. As we get closer to the end of the playoffs, the Vegas odds for the Super Bowl in February have also started to crystallize.

Let's take a look at the three teams that are currently leading the way in NFL futures odds.

San Francisco 49ers

Super Bowl odds: +500

Vegas has clearly taken the long view with the 49ers. Sure, they lost three in a row after starting the season 5-0, but they got things back on track in Week 10 with a win over the Jacksonville Jaguars to improve to 6-3, the same record as Jacksonville and other Super Bowl contenders such as the Miami Dolphins and Dallas Cowboys.

But more importantly, Vegas understands that in spite of their brief slide, the 49ers have possibly the most loaded roster in the league, boasting one of the most balanced teams on both sides of the ball. That was evident in their crushing defeat of the Jaguars, when all three phases were in sync and showed what the 49ers are capable of.

After taking the bye week to reset and get healthy, the 49ers look to be back to their dominant ways, and Vegas doesn't expect them to let up any time soon.

Kansas City Chiefs

Super Bowl odds: +500

The Chiefs didn't have to take the field in Week 10 to retain their high Super Bowl odds, tied with the 49ers as favorites to win it all.

While Kansas City was on bye, the division rival Los Angeles Chargers dropped a game to the Detroit Lions, falling to 4-5 on the season and ensuring the 7-2 Chiefs are the only team in the AFC West with a winning record.

The Baltimore Ravens' loss to the Cleveland Browns put them at 7-3 on the season, meaning they're a half game behind Kansas City for the AFC's top dog. And the 49ers' aforementioned win over the Jaguars set Jacksonville one full game behind the Chiefs, as well.

The defending Super Bowl champs control their own destiny, and they have a chance to strengthen their standing in the books on Monday Night Football in Week 11 against the Philadelphia Eagles, our third Super Bowl futures pick.

Philadelphia Eagles

Super Bowl odds: +550

Like the Chiefs, the 8-1 Eagles, who own the league's best record, were also on bye in Week 10. And the two teams prepare to face one another in a Super Bowl rematch on Monday Night Football this week.

If the Eagles own the league's best record, why are they slightly below the 49ers and Chiefs in Super Bowl futures odds?

Quarterback Jalen Hurts' lingering knee injury may have something to do with it, though there were positive reports out of practice on Thursday as he told reporters that he shed his knee sleeve he's been wearing the past several weeks to protect a bone bruise.

If the Eagles can best the Chiefs in primetime on Monday, expect Vegas to reward them with higher futures odds come Tuesday.
