Fantasy Football Week 11 Rankings: Matchups We Love and Player Stat Projections
Week 11 of the 2023 NFL season is here.
How are you playoff chances looking?
If the answer is anything other than great, you need to absolutely nail what's left of your fantasy football schedule. We'll try to help by laying out top-10 rankings and spotlighting whoever has the best matchup at each of the four skill positions.
Quarterback
1 of 4
Top 10
1. Patrick Mahomes, KC (vs. PHI)
2. Jalen Hurts, PHI (at KC)
3. Dak Prescott, DAL (at CAR)
4. C.J. Stroud, HOU (vs. ARI)
5. Josh Allen, BUF (vs. NYJ)
6. Justin Herbert, LAC (at GB)
7. Tua Tagovailoa, MIA (vs. LV)
8. Sam Howell, WAS (vs. NYG)
9. Brock Purdy, SF (vs. TB)
10. Kyler Murray, ARI (at HOU)
Best matchup: Patrick Mahomes vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Mahomes has had some quiet games here and there, but when he gets a good matchup, he often puts up silly stats. In Week 7, for instance, he clobbered the Los Angeles Chargers with 424 passing yards and four touchdowns.
The Eagles aren't quite as generous—but it's close. While L.A. has allowed the second-most fantasy points to quarterbacks, per Yahoo, Philadelphia has given up the fourth-most. This should be a high-scoring affair, and Mahomes' passing numbers will be a big reason why.
Projected stats: 312 passing yards, three passing touchdowns, 28 rushing yards
Running Back
2 of 4
Top 10
1. Christian McCaffrey, SF (vs. TB)
2. Austin Ekeler, LAC (at GB)
3. Josh Jacobs, LV (at MIA)
4. Travis Etienne, JAX (vs. TEN)
5. Saquon Barkley, NYG (at WAS)
6. Jahmyr Gibbs, DET (vs. CHI)
7. Breece Hall, NYJ (at BUF)
8. Tony Pollard, DAL (at CAR)
9. Aaron Jones, GB (vs. LAC)
10. David Montgomery, DET (vs. CHI)
Best matchup: Tony Pollard at Carolina Panthers
Pollard has quietly ranked among the season's biggest disappointments. He's had fewer than 70 scrimmage yards in five of his last six outings, and he hasn't found the end zone since Week 1.
If he was ever going to snap out of this funk, though, this is the week to make it happen. The Panthers have given up the second-most fantasy points to the position, most recently letting D'Onta Foreman rumble for 92 scrimmage yards and a score.
Projected stats: 76 rushing yards, 33 receiving yards, one touchdown
Wide Receiver
3 of 4
Top 10
1. Tyreek Hill, MIA (vs. LV)
2. CeeDee Lamb, DAL (at CAR)
3. Amon-Ra St. Brown, DET (vs. CHI)
4. A.J. Brown, PHI (at KC)
5. Keenan Allen, LAC (at GB)
6. Justin Jefferson, MIN (at DEN)
7. Stefon Diggs, BUF (vs. NYJ)
8. Cooper Kupp, LAR (vs. SEA)
9. Brandon Aiyuk, SF (vs. TB)
10. Mike Evans, TB (at SF)
Best matchup: Brandon Aiyuk vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The 49ers have so many playmakers that Aiyuk sometimes gets a little lost in the mix. In Week 10, he saw a season-low three targets. Still, he's a talented enough player to make things happen even at less than elite volume. He turned those three targets into three receptions for 55 yards and a score.
He may not see a ton of passes come his way, but he'll make the most of his chances at this Buccaneers defense, which has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to receivers.
Projected stats: Five receptions, 101 receiving yards, one touchdown
Tight End
4 of 4
Top 10
1. Travis Kelce, KC (vs. PHI)
2. T.J. Hockenson, MIN (at DEN)
3. Sam LaPorta, DET (vs. CHI)
4. George Kittle, SF (vs. TB)
5. Dalton Schultz, HOU (vs. ARI)
6. Trey McBride, ARI (at HOU)
7. Dalton Kincaid, BUF (vs. NYJ)
8. Jake Ferguson, DAL (at CAR)
9. Cole Kmet, CHI (at DET)
10. Evan Engram, JAX (vs. TEN)
Best matchup: T.J. Hockenson at Denver Broncos
There are very few elite options at the tight end position, but Hockenson clearly makes the cut. He sees nearly 10 targets per game (95 in 10 contests) and comes down with most of them (71 receptions for 681 yards). His touchdown count isn't enormous (four so far), but it could be trending up (two in his last three outings).
In other words, he doesn't need a great matchup to put up numbers, but he'll get one anyway here against a Denver defense allowing more fantasy points to tight ends than anyone.
Projected stats: Seven receptions, 81 yards, one touchdown
