Falcons vs. Giants: New York Bound to Self-Destruct in Playoffs
Are you really going to trust this 2011-12 New York Giants team in the postseason?
It’s certainly hard to figure out why anyone would pick them to advance in a game against the Atlanta Falcons this upcoming Wild Card Weekend.
Here’s why.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
History
The G-Men already have a history of self-destructing this season.
They lost twice to the pitiful Washington Redskins, once to open the season and once more in a game that could have cost them a playoff spot in Week 15.
They lost four in a row during a stretch after leaving New England victorious (mostly due to the incompetence of Patriots’ CB Kyle Arrington), capped off by failing to even show up against the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football.
Is this a team you trust with their season on the line?
Falcons Can Run
Atlanta has a huge advantage right now because they actually have a ground attack to lean on and seem built to go on the road and win some games after faltering to the Green Bay Packers at home in last year’s playoffs.
Michael Turner carried for 1,340 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw only combined for 1,230 yards total and 16 touchdowns.
The Falcons can rely on their back while neither of the New York RBs can be trusted on a consistent basis. It’s going to make a difference when the weather is cold and the passing game is faltering.
Motivated Falcons Line
One of the best things the New York Giants do is rush the passer.
They may have just took that element of their game away by motivating the Falcons offensive line this week and giving them a ton of bulletin board material.
Justin Tuck called them a bunch of “dirtbags” and simply disrespected a group of men that barely need any more motivation to stop you from taking out their quarterback.
Look for them to play one of their finest games of the season now that they have every reason in the world to bring the pain and shut these big mouths up.
