Chris Jericho Returns to WWE: WWE Officials Surprised Return Wasn't Hidden
Chris Jericho returned to the WWE on this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw, and it was hardly a surprise.
Though there were all sorts of wild theories thrown around about who would be behind the cryptic “It Begins” videos, the vast majority of wrestling fans knew that it would be Jericho.
Given that we were fairly certain Y2J was coming back, we can assume that most people backstage within WWE knew as well. Perhaps that’s why many within the company are surprised that there wasn’t more effort made to hide Jericho’s return.

"There were a lot of people within WWE scratching their heads at how the company had Chris Jericho fly into a major airport like Nashville this weekend. WWE has taken extra measures in the past when it came to returning talents’ travel but we don’t know why they didn’t take those extra steps with Jericho.
"
If I’m just being honest there, I think that WWE officials just realized that the precautions to keep Jericho’s return a secret were completely unnecessary.
Why? Because the older fans essentially knew he was coming back, the younger fans wouldn’t be able to put two and two together (and would be completely unaware of this anyway) and there was no real reason to fly him into a smaller airport.
No matter where Jericho was flying into, someone probably would have seen him, someone would have posted a picture of him online and we would have all gotten even more confirmation of what we already knew (that Jericho was returning).
If WWE officials really wanted to keep Jericho’s return a surprise, perhaps they could have made those “It Begins” videos a little less obvious or use the videos to bring back someone else while having Jericho come back at a different time.
I mean, there’s no use in all these WWE officials scratching their heads because “Jericho’s return was spoiled.”
News flash: It was pretty much spoiled when the first “It Begins” video aired.
