Dolphins' Raheem Mostert 'Not Worried' About Jonathan Taylor Trade Rumors
Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert isn't concerned about trade-seeking Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor potentially landing in South Florida, instead choosing to focus on what he can control as he readies himself for the 2023 season.
NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe relayed the news.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Miami was reportedly in the mix for another star veteran running back in Dalvin Cook, who ended up signing with the New York Jets. Now Taylor, who led the NFL in rushing in 2021, is looking to get out of Indianapolis amid a contract dispute with the team.
Miami already has a crowded running back room with Mostert, Jeff Wilson Jr. and rookie De'Von Achane aboard. Mostert excelled last year with 891 rushing yards (4.9 YPC), while Wilson proved efficient with 4.7 YPC (392 rushing yards total).
Although Achane is "week-to-week" with a shoulder injury suffered during the preseason, the third-round pick sports great dual-threat potential after an excellent collegiate career at Texas A&M.
However, Taylor has proven to be a bona fide star. Injuries slowed him down in 2022, but he amassed 2,171 scrimmage yards and 20 scores during his second year in the league (2021). He's also rushed for 5.1 yards per carry over his career.
Taylor may be seeking a trade, but it also may be hard for one to materialize. Per sources to ESPN's Stephen Holder, the Colts want a first-round draft choice or a collection of picks that "equates to one."
According to a poll conducted by Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer of NFL executives, the general consensus is that Indianapolis could get a Day 2 pick if Taylor is cleared medically. Taylor missed time with a right ankle injury last year and is currently on the PUP (physically unable to perform) list.
Ultimately, Mostert is still the Dolphins' top returning rusher, and he figures to play a significant role in the backfield once again. Perhaps Taylor joins the mix, but there are some roadblocks in the way of that happening, namely the Colts' current asking price.
So for now, the Dolphins are moving forward with their current running back crew as they ready for their Sept. 10 season opener versus the Los Angeles Chargers.
