Bianca Belair and WWE, AEW Stars Who Need to Turn Heel This Summer
At Night of Champions, Bianca Belair took a shocking championship loss that could be the start of a heel turn, but she is far from the only name in WWE and All Elite Wrestling who should be looking for a major character change this summer.
In addition to The EST of WWE showing a darker side, other popular babyfaces should be considering a change, including fan favorites such as Wardlow and Drew McIntyre.
All three performers have demonstrated great range as top faces, but poor booking and waning crowd reactions should give WWE and AEW enough confidence to make the character shift.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Here are the Superstars who should be looking to turn heel this summer.
Bianca Belair
There is a strong contingent of wrestling fans who have grown bored with the booking of Belair, as her Raw Women's Championship reign has been filled with lackluster storytelling and little character development.
While no one can question The EST's raw athleticism in the ring, the lack of creative support for her character created a mediocre run with the title. Asuka defeating her was the best-case scenario for the 34-year-old.
Now, without the burden of being the always-smiling WWE ambassador, Belair can focus more on her character development and abilities on the mic. With a long line of women on the SmackDown roster she could stand against, there are plenty of possibilities for new feuds.
After finding so much success as a popular babyface champion, the WWE Universe should be excited for Belair's heel run and the shortcuts she will take to get back her title.
Wardlow
At one point last year, it could be argued Wardlow was as popular a face as there was in professional wrestling.
However, inconsistent storytelling and a lack of character development stifled the 35-year-old, and a heel turn could be just what he needs to reach the upper echelon of names in AEW.
Wardlow's run with the TNT Championship has been sporadic at best, winning and losing the belt on several occasions and being thrown into storylines with little build. It is time for Tony Khan and company to put him in a program where he can thrive.
The easiest way to make fans care about The Wardaddy again as they did before would be to have him turn on a popular face, ultimately setting up a heel run that could culminate in another match against MJF for the AEW World Championship.
With The Salt of the Earth's popularity and long-term run as a top heel dragging on, a face turn is inevitable, and there is no better person to ensure he gets over as a good guy than his former friend.
With MJF playing David and Wardlow filling the role of Goliath, the battle would be one to remember and could be the catapulting moment the latter needs to become a top star.
Drew McIntyre
Rumors have run rampant that Drew McIntyre is considering a departure from WWE, based on creative differences in the past and his exclusion from the world championship scene on Raw and SmackDown.
Triple H and WWE Creative should do whatever it takes to get the Scot to re-sign with the company, promising him a heel turn and a dastardly character that would challenge whoever holds the world heavyweight titles on the main roster.
McIntyre proved in 2020 that he could carry the company, helping WWE through the pandemic as a beloved babyface before transitioning to several lackluster secondary feuds.
No matter the role, the 37-year-old always excels on the mic and in the ring, but the storylines have just not supported his talent.
With a whole new set of challengers, the heel version of McIntyre would be one of the most dominant forces in all of wrestling.
If Cody Rhodes is the man to dethrone Roman Reigns, then McIntyre should be the man to conquer Rhodes.
