WWE Raw: Please Do Not Forget That the Royal Rumble Is Coming Soon

Justin WatryJun 7, 2018

Tonight is the night! WWE has been building up a huge show for weeks now. Everybody is throwing out their predictions for "It Begins 2012," and I am beyond excited for Raw to get here.

For the record, my prediction for the big video promos has not changed since week one.

However, everybody must also realize that WWE does not have an offseason. They are going on 365 days a year. Week after week. Month after month. Decade after decade.

The "machine" cannot and will not stop.

Thus, I really hope WWE shines some light on the upcoming WWE Royal Rumble event in less than four weeks. It is the second (third?) biggest show of the year, and it is now time to start hyping it up!

I know much of tonight's focus will be on the WWE Championship match. CM Punk is defending his title against Dolph Ziggler. You have to assume Vickie Guerrero won't be too far away from ringside.

I understand that. Of course, a lot of attention will be on that main event. There should be.

Also, Johnny Ace seemed to hint that Brodus Clay (again) will be appearing on Raw tonight. Yes, he was with Alberto Del Rio in the past, but this seems to be his time to stand out on his own.

This is the perfect opportunity I am discussing here. Have Brodus destroy somebody on the roster. Have him look at the camera and say "I will see all 29 of you at the Royal Rumble!" Something that simple...

Finally, we all know about a certain "familiar force" that is coming to Memphis in a few hours. The wait has been long, but anticipation is a great thing in the world of wrestling.

While I have zero doubts that the reveal will be great, there has to be a "tease" going forward towards the next PPV. There has to be.

At the same time, no matter what happens, something has to point towards the Royal Rumble. It is one of the biggest events all year, right? The show is less than a month away...

Again, I know how huge tonight is shaping up to be. I get that WWE may not want to spend too much time on the Rumble tonight, but they have to.

I suspect a large audience than usual will be watching WWE in a few hours. Thus, it makes perfect sense to display their next PPV event to that increased viewership in hopes of getting them actually spend money on the company. Seems logical to me!

REMINDER: I am now on Twitter @JustinWatry! I give every new follower a special shout out, so do not be shy...thanks.
