Newcastle United vs Manchester United: Can the Red Devils Keep Pace at the Top?

Alan Pardew will look to his key summer signing of Demba Ba as the spark for the club. The striker is one of the hottest in the EPL at the moment, and only a world class effort form Martin Skrtel averted his 15th league goal at Anfield last week.

Manchester United will once again more than likely rely on the in-form Dimitar Berbatov at the front. The Bulgarian has six goals in his last three appearances and is now the second-leading league scorer on the roster.

Sir Alex Ferguson's side has to find a way to keep pace after their atrocious shock loss to Blackburn Rovers on the manager's 70th birthday.

The injury report for United continues to look bleak, as the club has nearly as many first-team players on the treatment table as they have match-ready, but their strength in depth continues to shine through.
