Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes: Injured Ankle Feeling Better Ahead of Super Bowl vs. Eagles
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes provided a positive update on his ankle injury during Super Bowl opening night Monday.
"It's definitely in a better position than it was at this time last week," Mahomes told reporters.
Mahomes' health has been a primary storyline of the playoffs, as he exited a divisional-round win over the Jacksonville Jaguars with a high ankle sprain before returning to lead his team to victory.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The 27-year-old played every offensive snap in the AFC Championship Game against the Cincinnati Bengals and finished 29-of-43 for 326 yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions despite having limited mobility.
It is a testament to Mahomes' greatness that he was so effective even with the injury, and the Chiefs' best chance to lift the Lombardi Trophy is with him behind center.
However, they at least know they have a veteran backup in Chad Henne who has shown the ability to move the ball.
The Michigan product, 37, directed a 12-play, 98-yard touchdown drive during the win over the Jaguars before Mahomes returned.
