Among the top quarterbacks in the 2023 NFL draft, Ohio State's C.J. Stroud will be the first one to work out in front of scouts.

ESPN's Field Yates noted Ohio State has scheduled its pro day for March 22.

Yates added that Alabama's pro day will take place March 23, followed by Kentucky on March 24.

Stroud, Bryce Young and Will Levis are generally considered the top three quarterbacks in this year's draft.

B/R's NFL scouting department9 has Stroud ranked as the best signal-caller in the class and No. 8 overall prospect. Young (No. 13) and Florida's Anthony Richardson (No. 31) are also considered first-round talents by B/R. Levis checks in at No. 38 overall.

ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. had Stroud as the first quarterback off the board at No. 2 overall to the Houston Texans in his first mock draft posted earlier this week.

Based on the final game Stroud played this season, it's hard not to be tantalized by his skill set. The Buckeyes superstar threw for 348 yards and four touchdowns in a 42-41 loss to Georgia in the College Football Playoff semifinal on Dec. 31.

Stroud also broke out his running ability in that game as a weapon for the second time in his college career. He had 70 yards rushing before accounting for yards lost on sacks.

His only other game in which he showed that level of rushing talent was a Nov. 5 win over Northwestern when the weather made it difficult to pass the ball. He finished that contest with more rushing yards (79) than passing yards (76) and averaged 13.2 yards per carry.

Stroud finished his Ohio State career with 8,123 passing yards, 85 touchdowns, 12 interceptions and a 69.3 percent completion rate in 25 starts over the past two seasons.

The 2023 NFL draft will be held from April 27 to 29 at Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri.
