It's been an exciting week of NFL action thus far, and more is to come on this Christmas Sunday.

However, only six teams will be in action Sunday: the Green Bay Packers, Miami Dolphins, Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Rams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Arizona Cardinals. This leaves fantasy managers with few options for daily fantasy sports (DFS) leagues.

Managers looking to play Sunday-only DFS games will have to be a little creative with their lineups, but we're here to help. We'll examine some of the best matchups, smartest plays and potential bargains of the three-game slate for FanDuel and DraftKings games.

    Let's get to it.

Take a Chance on Aaron Rodgers

With Kyler Murray and Matthew Stafford both done for the season, viable quarterback options will be limited Sunday. Dolphins signal-caller Tua Tagovailoa will be the top choice for many managers, as he gets to throw to fantasy superstars Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

However, this is a great time to take a flier on Packers signal-caller Aaron Rodgers. The reigning MVP hasn't played like Pro Bowler in 2022, but he's started to show some flashes of his former greatness.

With rookies Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs both in the lineup last week, Rodgers threw for 229 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He should have much better numbers against a struggling Dolphins secondary.

Miami has allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season.

Additionally, the Packers could be playing catch-up against Tagovailoa and Miami's high-flying offense, which should keep the ball in Rodgers' hands fairly often.

With a middle-of-the-road price point—$5,900 at DraftKings and $7,300 at FanDuel—Rodgers is a solid value that should allow managers to splurge at the skill positions.

Stack Buccaneers Backs Not Receivers

With the Buccaneers facing a lackluster Cardinals defense, it may be tempting to double-up on receivers Chris Godwin and Mike Evans. If you're going to stack Buccaneers players, however, Leonard Fournette and Rachaad White are the better duo.

Arizona ranks just 23rd against the pass, but it also ranks 23rd in yards per carry allowed (4.6). The Cardinals have allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to opposing RBs this season.

What's really important here, though, is the fact that Arizona will rely on third-string quarterback Trace McSorley against Tampa Bay. Backup-turned-starter Colt McCoy is dealing with a hand injury.

"It's an exciting opportunity," McSorley said, per ESPN's Josh Weinfuss.

While McSorley may be thrilled to get the start, he's likely to have a tough time against a good Buccaneers defense. Expect Tampa to get an early lead and lean on its ground game to close this one out.

This will mean numerous opportunities for Fournette—a solid start at RB—and flex candidate White.

Fournette is going for $5,800 at DraftKings and $7,100 at FanDuel. White is priced at $5,300 at DraftKings and $6,700 at FanDuel. Sprinkling these two in alongside Aaron Jones and/or James Conner should provide managers with a winning combination.

Target the Denver D, Avoid the Rams Completely

Quarterback Baker Mayfield had an electrifying debut for the Rams two weeks ago in a shocking comeback win over the Las Vegas Raiders. However, he and the Rams offense both fell to earth in Week 15 against Green Bay.

Mayfield finished that game 12-of-21 for 111 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Los Angeles mustered a mere 156 yards of total offense.

Running back Cam Akers (65 rushing yards, three receptions, 35 receiving yards) was the only Rams fantasy option to come out of that game with any value. Even he should be sat against a strong Broncos defense.

While Denver has struggled in 2022, it has done a good job of limiting opposing offenses. The Broncos enter Week 16 ranked fourth in total defense and third in points allowed. The Denver defense has forced eight turnovers over the last three weeks alone.

In a visit with Mayfield and the Rams, the Broncos defense should be in store for a huge performance.

Denver is one of the most expensive D/ST options with a price tag of $3,600 at DraftKings and $4,500 at FanDuel. However, it's worth paying a few extra roster dollars to have a "sure thing" in the defensive slot.

Don't Sleep on Randall Cobb in the Flex

Managers do have a lot of quality receiver options Sunday, with Hill, Waddle and DeAndre Hopkins leading the pack. Don't sleep on Packers receiver Randall Cobb as an additional wideout in the flex.

While Watson and Doubs are getting plenty of attention in Green Bay, Cobb remains a wide receiver Rodgers truly trusts. Over his past four games, Cobb has been targeted at least four times in each.

Cobb should carry a solid point-per-reception (PPR) floor into the matchup with Miami—a team that isn't particularly great at stopping opposing receivers. The Dolphins have allowed the 16th-most fantasy points to opposing WRs this season.

With Watson and Doubs drawing plenty of attention from Miami's secondary, don't be surprised if Cobb has one of his best fantasy outings of 2022.

Cobb is a legitimate budget option, with a price point of $4,200 at DraftKings and $5,300 at FanDuel.
