Fantasy Football Week 7 Rankings: Matchups We Love and Player Stat Projections
With six weeks of the 2022 NFL season completed, fantasy football managers should have a good grasp of what their squad can do.
Whether that's good news or not depends on how the first six contests treated you.
Regardless, Week 7 offers something: Either the chance to maintain momentum or perhaps a rescue raft to pull you out of a rough start.
To help get (or keep) things moving the right direction, we're compiling our weekly rankings at the four skill positions and spotlighting a player in every spot with the best matchup.

Favorable Matchup: Dak Prescott vs. Detroit Lions
Dak Prescott will be back in action for the first time since fracturing his thumb in the season opener, and normally we'd advise proceeding with caution for a player who has missed this much time.
However, the matchup is simply too juicy to pass up.
The Lions have allowed the second-most fantasy points to quarterbacks, per Yahoo, and they've let Carson Wentz, Geno Smith and Kirk Cousins all throw for more than 250 yards and two-plus touchdowns.
Projected stats: 267 passing yards, three touchdowns

Favorable Matchup: Josh Jacobs vs. Houston Texans
The Raiders' new coaching staff took a little while to put the offense in Josh Jacobs' hands, but they've since let him loose and positioned him for some monster fantasy efforts.
Prior to Las Vegas' Week 6 bye, the 24-year-old had gone back-to-back games with new career-high rushing marks. He ripped off 28 carries for 144 yards and two touchdowns in Week 4, then upped the ante with 21 carries for 154 yards and a score in Week 5.
If that wasn't enough, Jacobs also totaled 10 catches on 11 targets for another 70 yards over this stretch.
Clearly, it can't get any better, right? Well, he hasn't drawn a more favorable matchup than he'll get this weekend. Houston ranks dead last in fantasy points allowed to the position, and it's bottom-five in both rushing yards allowed (164.8 per game, third-worst) and yards per carry (5.1, tied for fourth-worst).
Projected stats: 93 rushing yards, 18 receiving yards, two touchdowns
Wide Receiver

12. Amari Cooper, CLE (at BAL)
13. Courtland Sutton, DEN (vs. NYJ)
14. Mike Evans, TB (at CAR)

17. Chris Godwin, TB (at CAR)
18. Christian Kirk, JAX (vs. NYG)
19. Brandin Cooks, HOU (at LV)
20. Allen Lazard, GB (at WAS)
Favorable Matchup: Tyreek Hill vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
The Dolphins paid a fortune to acquire Tyreek Hill this offseason, and they're clearly out to get their money's worth.
The 28-year-old leads the entire league with 701 receiving yards and trails only Cooper Kupp in targets (65) and receptions (50). Hill has somehow only found the end zone twice, but it feels like that number could skyrocket at any moment.
Why not this weekend? He'll have his starting quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, back under center and a hugely inviting matchup on the docket.
The Steelers have allowed more fantasy points to wide receivers than anyone, as five different wide receivers—including Nelson Agholor and Gabe Davis—have gone for triple-digit yards against them.
Projected stats: 133 receiving yards, two touchdowns
Tight End
4 of 4
Top 10
1. Mark Andrews, BAL (vs. CLE)
2. Travis Kelce, KC (at SF)
3. George Kittle, SF (vs. KC)
4. TJ Hockenson, DET (at DAL)
5. Kyle Pitts, AFL (at CIN)
6. David Njoku, CLE (at BAL)
7. Darren Waller, LV (vs. HOU)
8. Pat Freiermuth, PIT (at MIA)
9. Gerald Everett, LAC (vs. SEA)
10. Hayden Hurst, CIN (vs. ATL)
Favorable Matchup: Gerald Everett vs. Seattle Seahawks
Streaming tight ends is tricky, as all but the elites loom as different degrees of dart throws.
Having said that, Gerald Everett is one of the better dart throws at your disposal. He's had at least six targets in four of his last five outings. Three of those contests produced five-plus receptions, and he cleared 60 receiving yards in two of them.
Timing his good outings can be a guessing game, but call this an educated hunch. No defense has surrendered more fantasy points to the position than Seattle.
Projected stats: 52 receiving yards, one touchdown
