Virginia vs. Auburn: Live Score, Analysis and Highlights of the Chick-Fil-A Bowl
Auburn 43, Virginia 24 FINAL
The 44th annual Chick-fil-A Bowl will take place on New Year's Eve in Atlanta and will feature Auburn (7-5) and Virgina (8-4).
The Tigers will be without two important members of the team. Defensive coordinator Ted Roof will not be at the Georgia Dome on Saturday because he took the same job at Central Florida. So head coach Gene Chizik will handle the play-by-play calls on defense.
The other member is running back Michael Dyer, who is suspended for undisclosed reasons. So expect to see a lot of Tre Mason and Onterio McCalebb.
Virginia is playing in its first bowl game since 2007. The Cavaliers are led by All-American cornerback Chase Minnifield as well as All-American offensive lineman Austin Pasztor.
The Cavs make their hay on defense as they were ranked fourth in the ACC in scoring defense and third in total defense.
The key to the game for both teams will be how well the quarterbacks will play.
For Auburn, Clint Mosley has started the last five games for the Tigers and has done a solid job not making too many mistakes. However, he has to make more big plays in order to lead the Tigers to victory.
For Virginia Michael Rocco has thrown for 11 touchdowns, but has also thrown 11 interceptions. Rocco has thrown for 2,359 yards, which is the most for any Virginia player starting in his first season.
This should be a very compelling game, so get ready, because Atlanta is going to be on fire before 2011 comes to a close. Stay tuned here for live updates.
