WWE Money in the Bank 2022: Live Stream, Peacock Start Time and Match Card

Doc-Chris MuellerJul 2, 2022

Saturday is WWE's annual Money in the Bank pay-per-view, which means two people are guaranteed to earn title shots they can cash in at any time.

The two titular ladder matches are obviously the biggest selling point to this event, but WWE has added a couple of other bouts that will make the rest of the show worth watching, too.

The MITB briefcase has become a staple in WWE, and much like the Royal Rumble match, it has a high percentage of leading to a new champion being crowned.

The unpredictable nature of the cash-in is also what makes it fun. A lot of winners will either wait to cash it in and tease the champions along the way to throw them off their game, but some haven't waited a single day to use their opportunity to claim gold.

Let's take a look at everything you need to know about one of WWE's most exciting events of the year.

Other Money in the Bank Thoughts

4 of 4

The MITB PPV is an odd duck of an event. It can sometimes be one of the best shows of the year, but it can also fall short of expectations if WWE doesn't book satisfying winners.

The field in both of this year's ladder matches is interesting. Several candidates stand out as possible winners, so it's not as cut and dry as some previous years have been.

In the men's match, former world champions Rollins, McIntyre and Sheamus would all be reasonable choices to win, but up-and-coming stars like Riddle, Omos and Riddick Moss have potential too. Even Zayn is not an unlikely candidate to grab the briefcase.

In the women's bout, Asuka, Lynch and Bliss represent the former champions of the group, but Rodriguez, Evans, Shotzi and Morgan could all easily win this thing. Some are more likely than others, but none of them would be all that shocking.

The two women's title matches on the card will likely be decent or better, but the match between The Usos and The Street Profits has the potential to steal the whole show. Just because we have already seen it several times doesn't mean it won't be great. In fact, that experience working together as opponents will only continue making them all better.

Theory vs. Lashley is a toss-up. Both men have unreal athleticism and enviable physiques, but we don't quite know how they will mesh as opponents yet. The match could be great, or it could flop like a fish on dry land.

Even though there is no world title match and a lot of big names like AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, The New Day and Edge aren't on the card, this show still has the potential to give us a fun night of wrestling if all goes well.
