The Packers were tasked this offseason with filling a massive hole at receiver after trading Davante Adams. They chose to use their two first-round picks loading up on the defensive side of the ball, though, taking a pair of former Georgia teammates (Devonte Wyatt and Quay Walker) before grabbing Watson at the top of Round 2.
Watson and Doubs are both downfield threats who made their bones in college by creating big plays. Doubs racked up 80 receptions for 1,109 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2021, earning first-team All-Mountain West honors for the second straight season.
Both rookie wideouts and second-year receiver Amari Rodgers will get to compete for playing time in training camp. With Aaron Rodgers' longtime favorite target gone in Adams and the Packers also losing downfield threat Marquez Valdes-Scantling, the opportunities will be plentiful.
