OVERALL
Isaiah Likely is a good athlete who plays with toughness at tight end. He was asked to align all over the formation in college, including from in-line as a Y TE.
Likely is a willing blocker who goes for kill shots and can flash some pop when moving smaller defenders. His play strength also shows up with his strong hands that can snatch the football. He has twitchiness and agility that can make defenders miss and allows him to create yards after the catch.
Although Likely fights when he's blocking, his lack of length and technique show up often. He sometimes lack the ability to sustain and will too often go for the big block rather than a more technically sound one. His lack of overall polish also shows up in his route running, as he can be inconsistent when getting in and out of his breaks and will need further work on refining his route tree.
Overall, Likely would best be suited as an F TE who moves around the formation for an NFL offense on first and second down and can be a receiving option on third down. He flashes toughness and is a good enough athlete that he can be a nice receiving option, but he's still quite raw as a route runner.
Likely will have special teams value right away because of his speed and play strength, and there is still some potential for NFL teams to tap into as a receiver. But he will need to work on his blocking technique to add to his overall value as a player.
