Dwyane Wade Injury: Heat Star Exits Game with Foot Injury
The Miami Heat are in the middle of a dog fight with the Charlotte Bobcats, and they will have to finish it without one of their best players, Dwyane Wade.
Wade is out of the game with what appears to be a foot injury. His return is being called questionable by ESPN's Eric Windhorst.
There is no question the Heat need their leader on the floor in a tough match with the Bobcats. One of the toughest players in the NBA sat on the bench with a mysterious ailment that was being described as such in this tweet.
Wade has since come back onto the floor, trying to do what he can to lift a Heat team that has looked very polished in the early going this season.
UPDATE: Wednesday, December 28, 9:00 p.m. ET
The third quarter is coming to a close and he is back in the game.
It's clear to anyone watching the game that Wade is not right. He is slightly limping and doesn't have the explosion that we have grown accustomed to.
The important thing to note is that he is indeed back in the game. So far, Wade is 2-for-8 on the night. The magic he is lending comes on the defensive end as the star just blocked the Bobcats' Derrick Brown.
It seems like Wade is playing off pure adrenaline. For now, a crisis has been averted and Wade is very much a part of this closely-fought contest in Charlotte. Deep breaths abound.
