2012 Pro Bowl Selections: Ranking the Top 3 Players in the NFL's All-Star Game
While the NFL Pro Bowl selection process always raises controversy, the majority of the players picked to represent their conference in Hawaii are well deserving.
While guys like Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees and Calvin Johnson would headline the event if their clubs aren't in the Super Bowl, there are plenty of other premier players on the field.
Let's look at the best players in the NFL's All-Star game.
LeSean McCoy
1 of 3Because the Eagles have been eliminated from playoff contention, unless McCoy is injured in Philadelphia's season finale, he'll be running wild in Honolulu.
Mostly underappreciated, McCoy leads the NFL in rushing touchdowns with 17 and has 1,309 yards on the season.
When you think of the best running backs in the game, you probably think Adrian Peterson, Maurice Jones-Drew or Ray Rice, but McCoy deserves to be in the conversation.
McCoy should have a big game in Hawaii in February.
Jared Allen
2 of 3Stepping out of the box a little, Jared Allen, despite playing on a poor Vikings team in 2011, will be one of the best players on the field in Hawaii.
He loves the exhibition atmosphere and has the personality that fits in perfectly into that type of game.
Allen has 18.5 sacks this season and has remained a terror off the edge.
Larry Fitzgerald
3 of 3With young, talented pass catchers in the NFL like Calvin Johnson, Greg Jennings and Mike Wallace, it's somewhat easy to overlook Larry Fitzgerald.
He's still one of the best receivers in the league.
Because the Cardinals are out of playoff contention, he'll be in Honolulu and you know he'll give it his all for the fans.
Calvin Johnson and A.J. Green have emerged as the best receivers at hauling in the deep ball, but Fitzgerald is still no slouch.
