Having gotten his first taste of combat sports, former NFL star Chad Johnson is ready for more.

Johnson fought Brian Maxwell to a stalemate in their four-round exhibition Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium. After the bout, the six-time Pro Bowler joked he's already looking ahead to his next challenge.

"I don't box. I'm a little sloppy," he said. "It was fun...I think I'm ready for [Conor] McGregor."

Johnson's inexperience was laid bare in the fourth round when he left himself open to a right hand from Maxwell.

Making another foray into combat sports would seem to be ill-advised for the 43-year-old.

But this is the same person who once raced against a horse, so his next move from here is anybody's guess.
