It's one of those "If You Know, You Know" sorts of fights.
Though neither man is a household name outside the hardcore boxing crowd, the prospect of 130-pounders Emanuel Navarrete and O'Shaquie Foster meeting has had fight fans looking forward since it was first discussed months ago.
It'll happen Saturday at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas and will top a four-bout Top Rank show to be streamed live on DAZN beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
Main Card
- Emanuel Navarrete vs. O'Shaquie Foster, 12 rounds, super featherweight
- Edward Vazquez vs. Albert Gonzalez, 10 rounds, featherweight
- Tarik Zaina vs. Frank Martin, 10 rounds, super lightweight
- Emanuel Moreno vs. Steven Navarro, 10 rounds, bantamweight
Navarrete, 31, reached the championship level when he out-pointed Isaac Dogboe over 12 rounds for the WBO title at 122 pounds in December 2018. He stopped Dogboe in a rematch five months later and defended four more times before moving to 126 pounds, where he won the WBO belt and defended three times.
The move to 130 pounds came in 2023 and he won twice and drew with Robson Conceicao before climbing again, to lightweight, in May 2024 and losing by split decision to Denys Berinchyk for a vacant title belt. He returned to 130 and has fought three more times, with two wins and a no-contest allowing him to retain the WBO title he won in his debut at 130.
Foster, 33, was 19-2 as an unheralded pro before surprising Rey Vargas to win the WBC belt at 130 pounds in February 2023. He lost it to Conceicao and won it back over two fights in 2024, briefly moved to 135 for a decision over Stephen Fulton in 2025, then returned to 130 for his most recent fightโa majority decision over Raymond Fordโin May.
B/R will provide live updates when ring walks begin.
