AEW Dynamite Live Updates, Results and Highlights Before Redemption

The Bucks came out and tried to play peacemakers between Mox and Omega after the match, but it led to a big brawl. RPG Vice tried to get it on it, but Omega took them both down.

Knight came out of nowhere and took Omega out with the TNT title. The Jet posed with both the TNT and world titles to end the show.

We returned to see Ospreay fighting out of a waistlock from Cage. He hit a handspring into a kick to give himself the chance to make a tag, but he seemed to hesitate on who to pick before choosing Kenny.

The AEW champion hit a nice moonsault for a two-count as the crowd cheered him on. The Machine slammed him before tagging Hechicero, who hit a running and put Omega in a submission.

Moxley came in without a tag to break up the hold, so Doyle and Cage came in and teamed up on him. Mox and Omega brawled with them for a moment and sent them out of the ring.

Mox, Ospreay and Omega took turns hitting Hechicero with running strikes in the corner. Omega accidentally hit Mox with a V-Trigger when Hechicero avoided the impact.

A few moments later, Omega and Ospreay hit the V-Trigger and Hidden Blade to Hechicero at the same time for the win.

WINNERS: JON MOXLEY, KENNY OMEGA AND WILL OSPREAY

Moxley didn't have Marina Shafir with him this week when he made his entrance for this match. Ospreay and Hechicero started with some technical wrestling to get the action going.

Omega tagged in for a moment and tagged right back out after hitting a move. Moxley did the same thing. All three men kept tagging in and out to keep Hechicero cornered.

Once the Callis Family was able to take control, they had Moxley isolated for a little while. Mox managed to tag in Ospreay, but Cage came in and ran him over.

Commercial Break

Omega was the first to make his entrance for the main event trios bout.

During the break, a table was set up on the stage. We returned right as Skye and Julia put Megan through it. They went back to the ring to focus on Kross while she was outnumbered.

Bayne got back to the ring eventually, but the challengers had already done a lot of damage. The Megasus nailed Julia with a big running kick to change the momentum back in her favor.

All four women looked worn out by this point in the match, but they kept hitting each other with everything they could find. Skye fought out of a superplex and hit a kick to the face, but Bayne put her through a table a moment later.

Julia had Bayne locked in a submission, but the powerhouse countered and hit a tombstone. She and Kross hit a double chokeslam for the win.

WINNERS: MEGAN BAYNE AND LENA KROSS

This was a No DQ match, so Hart and Blue used kendo sticks right away. Kross and Bayne quickly disarmed them, but both women were sent over the top rope by Skye and Hart.

The champions regained control for a few moments, but the challengers nailed them with kicks when they got back into the ring. Blue started going nuts with the kendo stick as she hit both opponents several times.

Julia accidentally took out her own partner, but she managed to keep the upper hand against Kross for a bit. Lena ended up overpowering her and dropping her face-first into a chair.

Bayne rocked Blue when she put a chair against her in the corner and threw another chair at her as hard as she could.

Commercial Break

Pac and Claudio Castagnoli attacked Christian Cage and Adam Copeland backstage. They promised to take the tag titles on Sunday.

After the break, Skye and Julia came out to challenge Megan Bayne and Lena Kross for the tag titles.

We returned from the break to see Connors still in control. He hit a brutal running shoulder on the apron before sending Switchblade into the barricade. He sat White in a chair and tried to run over him, but White moved and he collided with the chair instead.

Both men looked worse for wear when they got back into the ring. White started to fight back with a flurry of strikes and a back body drop.

Connors gouged an eye and hit a big pounce to take him down. Switchblade made a comeback and hit a few of his signature moves, but Connors avoided the Blade Runner and hit a powerslam for a two-count.

White brought Connors down into a submission and choked him out for the win.

WINNER: JAY WHITE

Finlay attacked White after the match, but the Bang Bang Gang drove The Dogs away.

Jay White came out for his match with Clark Connors with the full Bang Bang Gang, but they didn't accompany him all the way to the ring. He still had David Finlay's sheleighleigh.

Connors played some mind games by rolling out of the ring to avoid Switchblade, but White didn't fall for it the second time and almost hit his finisher.

White used some solid wrestling to bring Connors down to the mat a few times. He maintained control for quite some time until Connors threw him out of the ring so he could hit a spear through the ropes.

Commercial Break

Foley was on stage to oversee a meeting between Thekla and the woman who will challenge her for the world title on Sunday, Willow Nightingale. She came out with Skye Blue and Julia Hart wearing their new STARDOM titles.

Thekla sarcastically said it was good to have Willow back. She said she isn't buying into Willow's happy attitude all the time. Willow responded by saying she thinks Thekla is just putting on an act because she feels small.

Foley said he sees a lot of himself in Willow, but her smile has more teeth than his. Willow promised to leave Redemption as the new champion.

Thekla ended up attacking her and hitting her with the microphone. Willow fought back and hit a Pounce that sent the champion out of the ring.

Don Callis tried to have his family attack Brodido, but Andrade El Idolo showed up to provide some backup. He showed that he still has MJF's diamond ring.

After everyone was cleared from the ring, Mick Foley came to the ring.

We returned to see Fletcher and Okada in control against Bandido. King got the hot tag and started throwing hands at both opponents.

King dominated for a little while, and he managed to counter the Rainmaker, but Okada managed to get him up for a neckbreaker. King countered the brainbuster from Fletcher and slammed him for a two-count.

Bandido came in and traded some moves with Fletcher. When he went for a springboard moonsault, Fletcher hit a superkick while he was in the middle of the rotation.

The Protostar avoided the 21 Plex, but Bandido planted him right on his face to get a near-fall. He hit a big frog splash, but he still couldn't get the pin.

Okada accidentally hit his own partner with a Rainmaker, but he didn't look too upset about it. King took out Okada while Bandido finished off Fletcher with the 21 Plex for the win.

WINNERS: BRODY KING AND BANDIDO

Two portmanteau pairs squared off this week when Brody King and Bandido took on Okada and Fletcher. This was a late addition to the card, but not an unwelcome one. Don Callis joined the commentary team.

Bandido and Fletcher started with a basic lockup. Fletcher made a clean break after forcing the ROH champion to the ropes. Bandido did the same thing a moment later. They kept it clean and traded some holds.

Neither man went down when they collided for a shoulder tackle, but Kyle ended up going down after taking a dropkick. King tagged in and they double-teamed Fletcher for a few moments.

Okada tagged in and traded strikes with King, which he regretted almost immediately. He and Fletcher hit a double suplex to the big man before taking Bandido down with a flapjack.

Commercial Break

Kyle Fletcher's music hit and he walked to the ring while an angry-looking Knight paced back and forth in the ring. Kazuchika Okada followed Fletcher for their tag team match against Brodido.

When we returned from a break, Renee was in the ring to interview some of the DCF. Fletcher and Knight almost ended up in a fight after insulting each other a few times.

We returned to see both men showing some damage from the fight. Knight picked up Allin and hit a backbreaker for a near-fall.

The referee was accidentally sent into the ropes and out of the ring, so Knight decided to grab his belt in an attempt to use it as a weapon. Darby ducked the shot and hit the Scorpion Death Drop.

Knight was able to recover and hit a few high-flying moves to get the pin and the win. This was a fast-paced, fun match.

WINNER: KEVIN KNIGHT

Allin flew through the ropes with a suicide dive before Knight even made it into the ring. They fought in the crowd for a moment before Allin brought him back over the barricade. He set Knight up on the barricade and climbed to the top of a ring post before leaping off onto him to put both men in the timekeeper's area.

Knight had to resort to gouging the eyes and crotching Allin on the barricade to take control. Knight set up the steel steps so he could slingshot Allin into them. The top panel of the steps popped off from the impact.

Darby was bleeding from above his right eye as Knight rained down punches on him in the ring. He put Allin on the top rope and climbed up for a superplex, but the challenger countered it into a code red for a two-count.

Allin put Knight's arm into the top of the hollow ring post and beat on him for a few moments before hitting a Coffin Drop at ringside to send the show into a break.

Darby Allin made his way to the ring to battle Kevin Knight for the TNT title in the opening bout.

AEW Dynamite is officially on the air. The show opened with Excalibur giving us a quick rundown before we went backstage to see Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega talking about their trios match tonight.
