Ring IV: Night of the Champions - Fight Night

DAZN: The Fight - Live Updates, Results and Highlights

Boxing's youngest male champion returns to the ring tonight.

22-year-old Abdullah Mason (20-0, 17 KOs) will be back in action against Albert Bell (28-0, 9 KOs). His WBO lightweight championship will be on the line, and he'll have plenty of support as he looks to defend it in his hometown of Cleveland. Mason was originally set to take on Joe Cordina, but shifted his attention to Bell when his original opponent was ruled out with visa issues. One way or the other, he'll look to continue his reign against an upset-minded underdog.

Mason's lightweight title won't be the only gold up for grabs in Cleveland. In the co-headliner, Bruce Carrington (17-0, 10 KOs) will attempt to defend his WBC featherweight championship Rene Palacios (19-0-1, 10 KOs).

Before that, we'll get an appetizing welterweight clash between Delante Johnson (17-0, 8 KOs) and Christopher Guerrero (16-0, 9 KOs). That will be preceded by a three-fight undercard featuring a collection of promising prospects — including two of Mason's brothers.

It all kicks off 7:00 pm ET on DAZN. Keep it locked here to stay on top of all the action.

Ramos Hanging In After Three Rounds

Deric Davis seemed to have every conceivable advantage heading into this fight, but Carlos Ramos clearly didn't get the memo.

The Ecuadorian fighter has been giving a great account of himself through three rounds, frustrating Davis with slick counters off the back foot. It's definitely still anyone's fight, but the American's inexperience is showing a bit here, as he's clearly struggling to find his range and timing against a quick southpaw. He also clearly doesn't like the body shots that are coming back at him.

Onto round four. This is heating up.

Main Card Up Next

Our four-fight main card will kick off at the top of the hour.

First up, we've got a lightweight clash pitting Deric "Scooter" Davis against Carlos Ramos.

Davis, 23, is off to a great start as a pro, with an 11-0 record and 10 KOs. Ramos, 30, is 18-4-1 overall, also with 10 KOs to his credit.

They'll have eight rounds to settle it.

We've got a few minutes to go before ring walks, so now's the time for bathroom breaks and refilling your drink.

A Statement Win for Ibrahim Mason

Ibrahim Mason couldn't have looked much better against Erik Hanley.

Around the two minute mark of round two, the 20-year-old scored his first knockdown of the fight. Less than a minute later, he had landed three more—some with body shots, others with punches to the head—forcing the referee stop the fight.

In victory, the young Mason is now 3-0 as a pro, with all of those wins coming inside the distance.

His victory brings his family to 2-0 in Cleveland. His older brother Abdullah will be up later in the main event, with lightweight gold on the line. Let's see if they can pull off a clean sweep.

Hanley Down in Round 2!

Hanley took a massive shot mid-way through the second round, and promptly hit the deck. He regained his footing, but a moment later, was floored by another Mason punch. Two more knockdowns followed in less than a minute.

That's it!

Another Mason Bro Takes the Stage

Up next, we've got another member of the Mason family taking center stage. This time around, it will be Ibrahim Mason taking on Erik Hanley in the super featherweight division.

Mason, who is just 20 years old, sports a 2-0 pro record with two knockouts. Hanley, 32, is 1-2 as a pro. His lone victory came by knockout. He has not fought since losing a decision to Javon Walton in 2024. Needless to say, he'll face an uphill battle in this one.

Hanley is in the ring, and Mason is walking out, so let's get to it.

A Strong Start for the Mason Bros

Abdurrahman Mason represented his family well in the opening bout of the night, defeating Alvaro Huizar Cabral by decision after four rounds.

That said, Cabral didn't make it easy for him.

After a strong round one, the two lightweights began throwing heavy leather in round two, and actually wobbled each other in quick succession, with Mason landing first, and Cabral returning fire soon after. However, the Cleveland fighter recovered, and began to take control of the fight again in round three, punishing his opponent with repeated attacks to the body, and opening up a huge cut on his brow. His momentum carried into the fourth and final round, as he continued to rack up volume in close, setting him up for a clear-cut unanimous decision win.

It's Mason's first time reaching the judges' scorecards as a pro—and actually his first time out of the first round. He surely wanted a knockout, but it was still a pretty dominant performance, and it will provide plenty of lessons for him going forward.

There will be two more Mason brothers in action before the night is over. Let's see if they have the same success.

The Action Begins in 20 Minutes

Saturday's boxing card in Cleveland will kick off in a little over 20 minutes.

The first bout of the night will be contested at lightweight, as Abdurrahman Mason takes on Alvaro Huizar Cabral. Mason is the older brother of the card's headliner, Abdullah Mason, and will step into the ring with a 2-0 pro record, with both wins coming inside the distance. Cabral is just 1-0 as a pro, winning his debut by decision earlier this year. It's a big opportunity for both. Let's get into it.
