WWE NXT Live Updates, Results and Highlights From June 16

Zaria and Kelani Jordan continued to isolate Kendal Grey through the commercial break, not allowing Lola Vice into the action until just after the PIP was finished.

The NXT women's champion ran over both heels with strong strikes on Lani. Zaria though blind tagged in and laid out Vice to slow the pace again.

Jordan and Vice went for arm-focused submissions until the latter needed a breather, giving Grey the hot tag.

Grey pulled down the straps, countered an attempt at the One of a Kind, but was not ready for a Zaria Spear.

Zaria went for the F5, but Grey reversed into an Armbar. While Grey held it for a while, Zaria powered free into a Sit-Out Powerbomb. Vice broke up the pin and ran into Jordan with Pump Kicks.

Vice tagged herself in and fought off a Sit-Out Powerbomb then locked in a Guillotine Choke. Grey caught Jordan with an Ankle Lock as well.

All four women battled to the outside where Zaria hit Vice with a Spear. As she teased an F5 on the floor, Tatum Paxley distracted the women's North American champion from the audience.

This allowed Vice to hit a Spinning Back Fist for the pin on Zaria.

Afterward, Vice and Grey nervously celebrated together while Paxley jumped onto Zaria to start a brawl.

Jordan tried to steal the NXT Women's Championship, and Grey accidentally blasted Vice with the title in the scuffle.

In a reversed mirror image to two weeks ago, the show ended with Jordan laughing as Grey tried to explain to Vice that she did not mean to lay her out.

Kelani Jordan and Zaria made their entrances before the commercial break and talked strategy while awaiting Lola Vice and Kendal Grey.

Vic Joseph announced Aaron Rourke defending the Men's Evolve Championship against Tristan Angels, Hank and Tank vs. BirthRight and an NXT Championship Double Contract Signing for next week.

Lani and Vice started with Jordan trying to catch the NXT women's champion with a couple pin attempts early.

Kendal Grey tried to push the pace but ran into the powerful Zaria. Vice also struggled against the women's North American champion.

After Zaria sent Grey to the floor with power, Lani dived onto Grey and mocked her with a knee on her throat as NXT headed to picture-in-picture for the last time.

After confirming Dion Lennox vs. Saquon Shugars for Great American Bash, NXT Chronicle highlighted Shugars' history.

Shugars talked about his tough upbringing in Washington D.C., refusing to give up no matter what hurdles he faced.

He explained that DarkState needed him more than he ever needed DarkState due to his wrestling experience.

Shugars promised to make an example out of Lennox, even if it meant going back to a dark place.

Lennox watched the Chronicle and promised to deliver the pain at Great American Bash.

Dorian Van Dux and Sean Legacy questioned Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno about their decision to become a tag team. Dar and Moreno agreed it felt right.

Van Dux told Legacy he would ask Robert Stone for a tag match against The Culling next week.

Tate Wilder continued to talk about his struggles in a pre-taped video, promising to turn around his fortunes despite the consequences of his recent risk-taking.

Arianna Grace came in with confidence before a commercial break with BirthRight at her back.

Layla Diggs responded with fast-hitting offense, almost taking the win one minute in with a Shining Wizard.

A strong Running Back Elbow from Grace got a near-fall of its own, but Diggs fired back.

Diggs went to the top rope but got distracted by BirthRight. She dived onto all of the men outside.

Grace played dead and caught Diggs on her return with a Small Package for the win.

Mason Rook and Lizzy Rain commiserated over their early losses in NXT, only to be interrupted by Tristan Angels.

He mocked Shiloh Hill and told Men's Evolve champion Aaron Rourke that he was the real Mr. NXT since Hill was not medically cleared to represent the company.

He demanded a title shot against Rourke, and the champion seemed ready to accept that challenge, saying that he knew Angels measured up "short".

Nattie and Jaida Parker brawled through the picture-in-picture break, exchanging Abdominal Stretches to push for a submission.

While the face-heel dynamic was unclear in the build to this match, The Low-Key Legend was full heel in this contest, mocking the crowd and bullying Vic Joseph.

This was helped by the crowd's universal support of Ms. Parker, who continued to show her grit and toughness throughout the fight.

Jaida locked in a Crossface and kept holding on after Nattie got to the ropes, utilizing the five count to do more damage.

The Low-Key Legend focused on the knee of Ms. Parker while continuing her disrespect with more slaps.

Jaida fired back with strikes and a Tear Drop followed by Hipnotic for a near-fall. Ms. Parker fought off the Sharpshooter then sent Nattie to the floor with another Hipnotic.

The Low-Key Legend sent Jaida repeatedly knee-first into the steel steps. She followed up with the Brodie and Sharpshooter to force a submission.

Winner: Nattie

Afterward, The Low-Key Legend kept the submission locked in until the referee forced her off.

Jaida Parker made her entrance before the commercial break to a loud Ms. Parker chant. Nattie spoke with Nikkita Lyons and Karmen Petrovic backstage.

The Low-Key Legend started slow, mocking Ms. Parker, causing Jaida to slap Nattie in the face.

Corey Graves made a Matrix reference to talk about how far ahead Nattie could see in wrestling while Vic Joseph made a Hot Tub Time Machine reference in response.

Jaida locked in a Rings of Saturn submission, almost forcing the tap-out, but The Low-Key Legend made it to the ropes.

The slaps continued to flow, and Nattie kept telling Ms. Parker to hit her harder. The two fought to the floor as the match went to picture-in-picture.

Keanu Carver interrupted Robert Stone in his office and questioned who the General Manager had for him to fight.

EK Prosper arrived to make clear he was Carver's opponent for next week, promising to humble him.

Carver questioned if Prosper was truly at his level since he wanted to go after the NXT Championship.

Tony D'Angelo met Naraku at a private location where the No. 1 contender played nice to start.

The NXT champion called out Naraku's "evil" past and the House of Torture crew backing him up.

The music started to grow louder and more dramatic as D'Angelo made clear he was not going to fall for Naraku's good-guy act.

While D'Angelo signed the contract for his match with Naraku, the No. 1 contender waited to sign the contract, promising to do so next week.

Naraku's final message: Evil is coming! The question lingers. What will Naraku do to get the NXT Championship?

Thea Hail struggled to chug an energy drink ahead of her Speed match while Izzi Dame arrived with confidence and The Culling behind her.

Hail went after the left arm of Dame right away, trying to set up the Kimura Lock, but Dame relied on the ropes to protect her.

Corey Graves and Vic Joseph debated over whether Hail was on the right track throughout this contest.

Just as the clock went under 1 minute, Dame ducked a Springboard Senton and sealed the victory with a Running Knee.

Winner: Izzi Dame

Shawn Spears was the most pleased of anyone that Dame won, mockingly clapping at a fallen Hail.

Afterward, backstage, Wren Sinclair and Kendal Grey talked about who was coming for her Women's Speed Championship.

Lola Vice arrived to warn Grey to focus on making sure they won their tag team match later.

In a video from last week, Hank Walker and Tank Ledger spoke with Matt Mathews and Aaron Rourke in Robert Stone's office.

BirthRight arrived to mock Mathews and Rourke, questioning why a celebrity was taking up time from the future of the business.

Lexis King talked up his Men's Speed Championship and guaranteed Arianna Grace's Women's Speed Championship victory to come.

Hank and Tank agreed to give BirthRight a "blue collar beatdown" if they kept running their mouths, seemingly setting up a match.

With a return to the ring, Tavion Heights took back over, dominating Drake with strength.

NXT showed Jaida Parker preparing herself backstage for her match with Nattie later.

Drake finally caught Heights to turn the tide with a perfectly executed handspring cutter then dived onto his opponent on the floor.

The Vanity Project leader headed to the top rope where he was caught with a Superplex and Diving Splash for a near-fall.

Myles Borne took out Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes when Myka Lockwood distracted the referee.

This allowed Heights to lay out Drake with the Heights Bomb for the victory.

Winner: Tavion Heights

After the champion raised his hand, Heights told Borne that he did not need his help.

Jackson Drake arrived with the full force of The Vanity Project: Brad Baylor, Ricky Smokes and Myka Lockwood.

Tavion Heights caught Drake immediately and threw him around with technical precision while Myles Borne watched the action backstage.

The distractions of Smokes and Baylor allowed Drake to make the comeback, kneeing Heights out of the ring.

Over a hurting Heights, The Vanity Project posed together as NXT went to commercial break.

NXT started with a recap of Naraku and Kendal Grey's No. 1 contender victories as well as Zaria capturing the Women's North American Championship.

Corey Graves joined Vic Joseph on commentary for the show instead of the usual Booker T.

Zaria talked up escaping Sol Ruca's shadow, causing a brief "You deserve it!" chant, which she shut down by telling the crowd that they never believed in her.

Kelani Jordan interrupted to mock Zaria and give her advice. She warned her that the crowd would abandon her, and she might never get another championship opportunity once she lost this one.

Heralded by an exasperated scream from Jordan, Kendal Grey continued the NXT women's division promo interruptions to mock Lani.

Lola Vice quickly arrived as well to talk down about everyone in the ring. Robert Stone arrived to make a tag match for the night, though Vice stole his thunder by stating the obvious conclusion.

According to Stone, this is what makes this the best women's division in wrestling.
