Derrick Lewis KO's Travis Browne at UFC Fight Night 105: Live Updates, Highlights and Reaction
UFC Fight Night 105 is now in the books. Derrick Lewis finished the night off with a vicious knockout of Travis Browne, overcoming a slow start to earn the victory. Johny Hendricks was similarly victorious in the evening's co-main event, outpointing Hector Lombard to make good on his middleweight debut. His TKO turned into a knockout after Yamasaki just refused to believe Browne was no longer ok.
Lewis Pulls Out the Come-from-behind Victory
He then did his traditional celebration before proceeding to lay on the canvas in exhaustion for a few minutes. When asked whether his ribs were sore, Lewis explained that he simple needs to visit a washroom.

Browne continues to find success with kicks, landing a thudding leg-kick in the opening minute. He adds a knee from the clinch, but allows Lewis to smash him with a right hand, which he follows up with a flurry. He lands again, forcing Browne to stumble and cover up. Browne absorbs the attacks and tries to throw Lewis to the mat, but ineffectually welcomes Lewis into the mount. Browne recovers half-guard, but swallows some right hands before standing. Lewis lands heavy, dropping Browne, then crawling on top of him to slug away until the finish is called.

Derrick Lewis vs. Travis Browne: Round 1
Lewis comes out swinging, but missing. Browne clips him with a counter left, then a leg-kick. Lewis also lands a kick, but he eats one to the body and clutches his ribs. Browne stays back, measured in his attack, targeting the body with two more kicks before sending one to the leg. A big right hand from Lewis stuns Browne, who goes down, but rolls away and stands. Browne crushes the ribs of Lewis with a right hook, causing him to bend over in pain. Browne attacks, but Lewis recovers. Browne continues to kick through the round's final minute, Lewis finishing the frame with a hard right hook.

Lombard opens the final frame with a right hook. Hendricks lands back half a minute later, evening a round that has begun lethargically. Hendricks ups his tempo, hitting with a knee then a right hand. Lombard looks to change the direction of the fight with a takdown, but Hendricks rebuffs the effort, circling away with 1:45 remaining. Lombard finally completes a takedown, but Hendricks escapes seconds later, Lombard slipping off his back. Lombard stalks forward in the last 10 seconds, but can't make anything happen.

Lombard punches his way into the clinch, eating counters from Hendricks as his does. A knee to the groin from Lombard causes a timeout. When they resume, Hendricks takes out his frustration his a hard left hand. He then tallies a trio of short punches while Lombard tries to drag him down after catching a kick. Again Lombard catches a leg, but again he fails to parlay the bounty into a takedown. Lombard is then warned for grabbing the fence and the fighters are reset. Over the final minute of the round, Hendricks lands a couple of knees and a right hand, Lombard a kick to the ribs.

Both guys are cautious in the early going. When they do exchange both men land solid shots, Hendricks scoring two-to-one. Lombard catches a kick and lands a left hand. They tie up on the fence before breaking off to trade. A hard left hand hits for Hendricks, but Lombard dumps him after catching a kick. Hendricks is able to stand, but Lombard clings to him, trying to drag Hendricks down. He fails. The men separate before the horn.

Tucker Was Impressive in His Debut
He looks to be a solid new addition to the featherweight division.

Sam Sicilia vs. Gavin Tucker: Round 3
Sicilia opens the final round visibly more aggressive, chasing Tucker down aggressively. Tucker looks perplexed for a moment but quickly regains his composure and begins to move again. Sicilia absorbs a big uppercut before stunning Tucker with a big right hand. He clinches up, looking to capitalize, but Tucker pushes free. The fighters clinch again and Tucker scores a trip. Sicilia scrambles up and lands a right with just over two minutes to go. Tucker settles back in, avoiding Sicilia's bombs, pecking away with punches and kicks from a distance. The crowd erupts as the clocks winds down, Tucket showboating all the while.

Sam Sicilia vs. Gavin Tucker: Round 2
Tucker looks to replicate his success from Round 1, bouncing in and out, primarily using leg-kicks through the first minute of the round. He mixes in the odd punch, but by and large he is cruising with kicks to the body and thigh. Sicilia continues to load up for haymakers, but the graphic shows that he has landed just three strikes through the first eight minutes of the match. Finally, Sicilia lands, but Tucker smiles back at him and slaps his own face before resuming his attack.

Tucker circles energetically, pushing Sicilia backwards. He lands a couple of slapping leg-kicks, showing an early speed advantage. Sicilia looks to fire back, but Tucker dances away and darts back in with a left hand. Tucker then settles back into a rhythm, circling around Sicilia, landing kicks to legs and stomach. He spends the final 90 seconds jumping in and out on his opponent, frustrating Sicilia to the delight of his hometown fans.

Elias Theodorou vs. Cezar Ferreira Results: Theodorou Def. Ferreira, Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)
Elias Theodorou vs. Cezar Ferreira: Round 3
The final round begins with a moderate pace, both men landing a couple punches through the first 90 seconds, but neither landing anything dramatic. They clinch up, but that too ends as a stalemate. Theodorou lands a couple of punches, but he then forfeits a takedown. Ferreira gets on his back and squeezes for a choke that is more over the jaw than neck. Theodorou gets up and looks for a slam, but the Brazilian exhibits impressive balance to remain up.

Theodorou jumps up for a knee, but Ferreira trips him up and jumps on top. Theodorou fights his way up and pressures his foe against the fence. It's Ferreira, though, who completes a takedown. Theodorou once again fights back to his feet and lands a combination while breaking out of the clinch. A slip from Ferreia allows Theodorou to complete a takedown, but he finds himself defending a guillotine. He escapes and scores with punches before Ferreira stands. Theodorou lands a nice left with a few seconds left in the round.

Ferreira runs straight into a big left hand and stumbles back. He recovers quickly, and both men settle into a more methodical rhythm. Theodorou leads the dance, but Ferreira is avoiding his attacks for the most part. The men exchange leg-kicks before Theodorou tries to move the fight to the mat. Ferreira defends and works his way off the chain-links. The final 45 seconds passes without much worthy of description, save a left hand counter from Ferreira near the end of the frame.

McMann stated her desire to take on whoever comes out on top in the upcoming bantamweight title fight.

Sara McMann vs. Gina Mazany: Round 1
McMann flurries her way into a clinch, then drags Mazany to the ground. Mazany stands briefly, but McMann rips her back to the mount. She ties up an arm-triangle and earns the tap from a writhing Mazany.

Paul Felder vs. Alessandro Ricci Results: Felder Def. Ricci, TKO (Round 1, 4:44)
Paul Felder vs. Alessandro Ricci: Round 1
Felder lands a stiff left hand five seconds into the fight, snapping Ricci's head back in surprise. Felder lands the same counter left, though not with the same impact, a few moments later. Ricci lands a straight right hand, his most impactful connection through the first two minutes of the contest. A spinning elbow hits for Felder, but Ricci barely seems to notice. The fighters fall into a pattern of trading kicks, passing almost two minutes that way. Felder lands an elbow and Ricci backs up, stumbling. He falls against the fence and covers up. Felder thrashes away at his downed opponent, earning the TKO.

Ponzinibbio earned the decision by an eyelash. Entertaining scrap.

Nordine Taleb vs. Santiago Ponzinibbio: Round 3
Somewhat ironically, Taleb is quickly warned about leading with his fingers after suffering a blatant eye-poke that the referee gazed blankly at in the previous round. Ponzinibbio pumps his jab, looking to gain an advantage in what clearly looks like a 1-1 fight after two. Taleb is having difficulty keeping a distance and Ponzinibbio is finding his range. Taleb is still scoring with leg-kicks to keep it competitive with a minute remaining. The fighters exchange throughout the final minute, both landing an absorbing right up to the horn.

Nordine Taleb vs. Santiago Ponzinibbio: Round 2
Taleb appears committed to the gameplan, as he opens with three consecutive kicks to begin the middle round. Ponzinibbio pokes Taleb in the eye but there is no stoppage, so he attacks with a leg-kick and a couple of hard straight right hands. He adds a couple of jabs, accelerating the blood sewing from Taleb's nose. A huge right hand from Ponzinibbio floors Taleb. The Canadian collects himself and defends, wrapping Ponzinibbio up in his guard. Ponzinibbio spends the rest of the round landing pitter-patter punches from top-position.

The first minute passes mostly without action, the main exception a chopping leg-kick from Taleb. Another minute ticks off with a similar pace, Taleb tallying some more leg-kicks. Ponzinibbio is having difficulty closing in. He isn't allowing Taleb to do any severe damage, but he is falling behind. He increases his output a touch during the final minute, but Taleb continues to hammer away with lowkicks, even as time expires.

Markos concluded the bout with some veiled comments as she spoke out against bullying in her post-fight interview.

And hangs on to win the tightly contested match. The win easily represents the biggest of her career.

Markos explodes out of the gate, landing a couple of punches before stuffing a takedown. She then scores with a spinning backfist that snaps Esparza's head back. She cracks Esparza again, chaining together a couple of the most effective minutes of the fight from her perspective. Esparza is able to land back a couple of times, but her takedown fails miserably. She fails again, but then Markos charges at her and Esparza succeeds with her next shot. Markos stands and eats an illegal knee that goes unnoticed, then runs at Esparza, forfeiting another takedown. Once again she stands, one minute remaining. She lands a right hand after stuffing a takedown. The women end up on the mat, Esparza on top.

Carla Esparza vs. Randa Markos: Round 2
Round 2 begins with a quicker pace than Round 1, Esparza moving in to force an exchange. She lands then eats a counter, but comes out of the trade in the black. Markos answers with a solid right hand, then Esparza comes back with one of her own moments later. Markos shows a rare willingness to attack, charging Esparza to land a pair of nice punches on her opponent's face. Esparza then shoots and climbs into side-control, latching on an arm-triangle. Markos is able to survive and force a round 3.

Two minutes bleed off the clock before either fighter makes much of an offensive attempt. Markos is clearly wary of the takedown and Esparza is moving in with a plodding gate. Esparza lands a stepping jab, Markos a right hand, but neither woman has established a lead early on. Esparza shoots and momentarily winds up in a crucifix after a beautiful reversal from Marko, but the former champion rolls out and gets top-position. Markos manages to put Esparza in a reverse triangle, then moves to a crucifix from the bottom. Esparza escapes and lands some lefts from half-guard before the horn.

Despite the unanimous scorecards. Though Vieira controlled more of the action, all of the best moments came from Zahabi.

Zahabi lets Vieira come to him in Round 3 and lands a pair of counter punches. Vieira continues to be the aggressor, but he's having difficulty hitting his target. He does manage to land a right after failing on a takedown, but is mostly keeping the round close only by the grace of Zahabi's low output. Vieira nearly completes a takedown, but Zahabi somehow manages to stay up, despite being carried over his opponent's shoulder momentarily. Zahabi scores with a cpuple of punches as time runs out.

Vieira lands a right hand, Zahabi a left. A cut streaks the nose of Vieira, who bites down on his mouthpiece and reels off a couple of looping shots that find the mark. After a minute trickles off the clock without action, Vieira ties up and presses Zahabi to the fence. He looks for a takedown from there, but has to defend against a guillotine attempt. Zahabi works free and tags Vieira with a couple of punches. The Canadian blitzes at the end of the round, smashing Vieira with a barrage, knocking him to the mat. Zahabi tries to finish, but cannot beat the bell.

Vieira opens the fight with a few leg and bodykicks. Zahabi maintains his distance before blitzing in to rip at Vieira's head and midsection, landing with a series of connections. Zahabi adds a headkick that is partially blocked before Vieira answers with a right and a takedown. Zahabi stands and Vieira scores with some bodyshots before Zahabi gains separation and lands a heavy bodykick. Vieira completes another takedown before the horn.
