NBA Awards Show 2018 Results: Live Updates, Winners and Highlights
The 2017-18 NBA campaign is officially in the books. The regular season, the playoffs, the Finals, and even the draft, are in the rearview. And now, the awards are official too. Ben Simmons won Rookie of the Year. Lou Williams took home Sixth Man of the Year. Victor Oladipo was named the Most Improved Player. Rudy Gobert secured Defensive Player of the Year. Dwane Casey landed Coach of the Year. Daryl Morey got Executive of the Year. And of course, James Harden won the league's biggest individual prize, the regular season MVP award. Rudy Gobert led the NBA in Defensive Real Plus-Minus this season. And the difference between Gobert's DRPM and second place is about the same as the distance between second place and 10th-place Joel Embiid.
Victor Oladipo Wins Most Improved Player!
Victor Oladipo was 66th in Real Plus-Minus last season. He finished sixth this season. He averaged 23.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists and a league-leading 2.4 steals per game.

Ben Simmons averaged 15.8 points, 8.2 assists, 8.1 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game this season.
Michael Jordan, David Robinson, Tim Duncan, Alvan Adams, Chris Paul, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson were the only rookies in NBA history to have more Wins Over Replacement Player.
