WWE Hell in a Cell 2017 Results: Live Updates, Results and Reaction
Welcome to Bleacher Report's live coverage of WWE Hell in a Cell 2017. The two big matches taking place inside the cage are Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens and The Usos vs. The New Day for the Tag Team Championships. We will also see Shinsuke Nakamura challenge Jinder Mahal for the WWE title, Baron Corbin face AJ Styles for the U.S. title and Natalya defending the Women's Championship against Charlotte. Baron Corbin joins Renee and Rosenberg to talk about winning the U.S. title. He seems happier than usual, which is to be expected in a situation like this. He promises to keep the title for a long time.
What a Night!
Both Hell in a Cell matches delivered big time. We will continue coverage through Talking Smack just in case anything interesting happens.
Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens (Hell in a Cell) Part 9
Shane takes another announce table apart and lays Owens on top of it with a big headbutt. Shane climbs back to the top of the cell and prepares for a dive. He jumps and Owens moves out of the way. Shane crashes through the table and we see Sami Zayn had actually pulled Owens out of the way. The announcers are freaking out about why Zayn would help his greatest rival as officials check on Shane. They try to put Shane on a stretcher, but Sami moves them out of the way and lays Owens on top of Shane. He forces the ref to make the count and KO gets the win. What did we just see?
Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens (Hell in a Cell) Part 8
Owens hits a senton to keep the tension building. KO hits the Popup Powerbomb, but the cage still doesn't break. He tries to throw Shane off the cell, but McMahon is able to stop him. They trade shots until Owens decides to climb down. Shane starts to climb down next to him and they keep fighting on the wall. Shane slams Owens' head into the cage and he falls down through the table. EMTs check on Kevin while Shane climbs down the rest of the way.
Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens (Hell in a Cell) Part 7
Owens gets all the way to the top of the cell. Shane is still laying on the table. Owens walks up to the edge, but looks like he is going to chicken out. Shane gets up and starts climbing the cell. Owens attacks him as he reaches the top, but Shane still makes it up. They fight on top of the cell and Shane hits a side Russian leg sweep. He slams Owens onto the cell and it flexes a lot. A suplex makes everyone think they are going to crash through the roof.
Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens (Hell in a Cell) Part 6
Shane hits Owens with the trash can a few times before bringing him out of the cage. Owens hits a low blow and a DDT on the ramp. He picks McMahon up and runs his crotch into the door in one of the crueler spots we have seen so far. He takes the SD commissioner around the ring as he grinds his face into the cage wall. He starts taking one of the announce tables apart as Shane struggles to recover. He climbs onto the barricade, but then he looks up to the top of the cell.
Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens (Hell in a Cell) Part 5
Shane grabs half the table and smashes it against Owens' back a few times. He grabs a trash can from under the ring and throws it inside. He sets up Owens with the can for a coast to coast dropkick. He sticks the landing and sends the can into Owens' face. He makes the cover, but KO gets his foot on the rope. Shane asks the officials to open the door, but they refuse. He grabs some bult cutters from under the ring and cuts the padlock after a few tries.
Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens (Hell in a Cell) Part 4
Owens manages to pull Shane out of the ring and drop him onto the steel steps to break the hold. He asks Shane why he is making him do this as he stomps a hole in him. The crowd chants for tables as Shane struggles to get up. KO goes under the ring and grabs a table to get a pop from the crowd. He leans the table against the cage and puts Shane on top of it. Kevin climbs onto the apron and goes for a cannonball. Shane moves and KO smashes through the table in a crazy spot. He somehow kicks out at two.
Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens (Hell in a Cell) Part 3
Shane starts to get his second wind as he unleashes lefts and rights to the head. A float over DDT puts KO down. McMahon goes for a Shooting Star Press, but Owens rolls out of the way to avoid the impact. He climbs up to the top rope and nails Shane with a Frog Splash for a close two count. McMahon counters the Popup Powerbomb with a triangle choke and brings him down to the mat.
Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens (Hell in a Cell) Part 2
Owens takes control and presses Shane's face against the cage in front of his kids as he yells "Look at daddy!" KO steps right on Shane's head with both feet to inflict as much damage as possible. He hits a senton for the first two count of the match. Owens hits a cannonball for another near fall. Shane counters a senton bomb with his knees.
Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens (Hell in a Cell) Part 1
Shane hits a basement dropkick through the ropes as soon as KO walks through the door. They end up fighting in the aisle outside the cage. Shane hits several solid punches and kicks to take Owens off his feet. He gets on the barricade and hits Owens with a diving clothesline. Owens gets in the cage and holds the door shut to give himself time to recover. Shane kicks it into Owens and gets inside with him as the ref locks the door.
Can the Cell Contain Their Rage?
Shane's wife and kids are at ringside, so Owens will likely taunt them at some point.
Time for the Main Event
All we have left is the Hell in a Cell match between Shane McMahon and Kevin Owens.
Dolph Ziggler vs. Bobby Roode Part 3
Both men counter each other a few times in a quick exchange. Ziggler nails Roode with a sloppy Fameasser for another two count. Ziggler starts tuning up the band as the crowd boos. Roode ducks the superkick and drops him with a spinebuster. Dolph counters the Glorious DDT again and the go back and forth with roll ups until Roode gets the win by holding the tights. Ziggler immediately delivers a Zig Zag before Roode has a chance to celebrate.
Dolph Ziggler vs. Bobby Roode Part 2
Ziggler uses a neckbreaker to score another two count. He catches Roode with a sleeper hold and brings him down to the mat. Bobby fights back to his feet and hits a side suplex to break the hold. Roode starts to rebound with a blockbuster from the middle rope. Roode hits what looks like a spinning Rock Bottom, but Dolph kicks out at two. Ziggler counters the Glorious DDT and hits his own DDT for a near fall.
Dolph Ziggler vs. Bobby Roode Part 1
Ziggler goes for pure mat wrestling in the early minutes of the match. He uses quick takedowns and holds to keep Roode grounded. Bobby returns with some technical skills of his own. He unleashes a storm of punches and kicks on The Showoff in the corner. Roode telegraphs a backdrop, but he keeps the upper hand with a stiff elbow to the head. Ziggler hangs him up on the top rope before sticking him with a dropkick for a near fall.
It's About the Wrestler, Not the Entrance
Ziggler stops his music and video before coming out to silence and a black titantron. Somewhere, Vladimir Kozlov is smiling.
Tell Us How You Really Feel, Kevin
Kevin Owens delivers a passionate promo about the kind of damage he will inflict on Shane tonight. Back in the arena, Bobby Roode heads to the ring to battle Dolph Ziggler.
Jinder Mahal vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (WWE Championship) Part 3
Nakamura is able to hit the Kinshasa, but Mahal grabs the bottom rope to break the count. He rolls out of the ring and tries to leave through the crowd. Shinsuke brings him back. Mahal avoids the Kinshasa and nails the Khallas for the pin and the win.
Jinder Mahal vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (WWE Championship) Part 2
Nakamura goes for a suplex, but Mahal knocks him away with an elbow to the face. Shinsuke takes out the Singhs at ringside before he nails Mahal with a knee to the face. Jinder avoids a knee drop from the apron and Nakamura crashes into the floor. Mahal goes for his finisher, but Nakamura counters into a victory roll for a two count. A kick from the middle turnbuckle takes Mahal down. One of the Singhs gets caught trying to pull Mahal from the ring. Mahal tries to take advantage of the situation, but the ref boots them from ringside.
Jinder Mahal vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (WWE Championship) Part 2
Mahal takes control after throwing Nakamura over the barricade into the crowd. He slows down the pace by burying his knee in Nakamura's back while pulling up on his chin. Shinsuke fights out of it, but he ends up getting whipped into the turnbuckle. He is able to get in a few kicks to take down the champion and even the odds. Nakamura barely hits a running kick before he gets on a roll.
Jinder Mahal vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (WWE Championship) Part 1
They circle each other a bit while Nakamura tries a few kicks to test Mahal. The champion kicks Shinsuke in the gut to take control. Nakamura counters out of a wristlock and goes for an armbar, but Mahal is able to reach the bottom rope. The Artist mocks Mahal and catches him with a knee to the gut. He kicks Jinder in the head to score a quick one count. Mahal rolls out of the ring to avoid the Kinshasa.
The WWE Title Is Up for Grabs
WWE plays a video hyping Nakamura vs. Mahal, which is up next.
It turns out this was all about The Ascension wanting to be friends with Breezango. Breeze answers a knock at the door and finds a briefcase. They open it and it glows.
Natalya vs. Charlotte (Women's Title) Part 4
Natalya decides to get herself disqualified by attacking Charlotte with a steel chair. She attacks the damaged knee before grabbing her belt and standing over Charlotte like she just won the match.
Natalya vs. Charlotte (Women's Title) Part 3
They trade punches in the middle of the ring. Charlotte hits a big boot to the face, but her bad leg buckles and she goes down, too. She attempts a Figure Four and Nattie kicks her out of the ring. She sends Charlotte's knee into the steel steps. Charlotte counters the Sharpshooter and sends Natalya's head into the bottom turnbuckle. The Queen climbs to the top turnbuckle for a moonsault, so Natalya rolls out to the apron. Charlotte kicks her to the floor and then hits the moonsault from the top rope all the way to the floor.
Natalya vs. Charlotte (Women's Title) Part 2
Natalya slams Charlotte's head into the mat a few times out of frustration. Charlotte gets to her feet momentarily, but she gets knocked right back down with a clothesline. Natalya goes for the Sharpshooter, but Charlotte powers out of it with her long legs. She tries to build some momentum, but her leg is already injured. Flair unloads with chops to the body. She hits a suplex before climbing to the top rope. Natalya cuts her off and brings her down with a powerbomb for a close two count.
Natalya vs. Charlotte (Women's Title) Part 1
They lock up and Natalya forces Charlotte to the corner. She shoves Flair, only to get rolled up for a two count. Both women manage to counter the other's submission as they exchange counters and takedowns. Nattie takes control and starts working over Charlotte's knee. The champ keeps the challenger grounded with various holds for a long time.
Hart vs. Flair Continues
Charlotte heads to the ring first for her match against Natalya.
