Welcome to Bleacher Report's live coverage of WWE Battleground 2017. Randy Orton and Jinder Mahal will have one more match for the WWE Championship, but this time it will be inside the Punjabi Prison. We will also see AJ Styles defend the U.S. title against Kevin Owens, The New Day challenge The Usos for the Tag Team Championships and a Fatal 5-Way match to determine a No. 1 contender for Naomi's women's title.     The Queen of Harts

    Natalya is the next guest and she is in a much better mood than Owens. Renee congratulates her on her win tonight and Nattie talks about being the best there is, was and ever will be.

    The Tension Is Palpable

    Owens and Renee argue about Talking Smack being canceled and Owens says he is responsible for getting it taken off the network and for having it brought back for tonight. Things get a little heated and Lawler tries to play peacemaker.

    Owens comes in and mocks Young for no longer getting to host Talking Smack every week. He also gloats about beating Styles for the U.S. title, but that's to be expected.

    Jinder Mahal vs. Randy Orton (Punjabi Prison, WWE Championship) Part 8

    Khali grabs Orton by the throat and keeps him in place while Mahal climbs up the cage next to him. The Modern-Day Maharaja escapes the cage to retain the WWE title. Kahli releases a lifeless Orton and celebrates with Jinder on the ramp.

    Jinder Mahal vs. Randy Orton (Punjabi Prison, WWE Championship) Part 7

    Mahal climbs up with Orton and they fight until they end up back on the floor between the two cages. The Viper grabs a steel chair from under the ring and hits Mahal a few times across the back. He begins another climb up the side of the outer cage while the remaining Singh tries to stop him. He gets kicked off easily, but then Mahal's music starts to play for some reason. The Great Khali emerges on the stage as Orton looks stunned.

    Jinder Mahal vs. Randy Orton (Punjabi Prison, WWE Championship) Part 6

    Mahal grabs a kendo stick from under the ring and beats Orton all around the ring. Orton counters the Khallas and uses the kendo stick to destroy Mahal and the Singhs. He starts to climb the cage while still favoring his left arm. One of the Singhs fits through a hole in the cage and he climbs up the outside to stop Orton from climbing any further. Randy ends up punching him right off the cage and he falls through an announce table from really high up.

    Orton manages to climb over the first cage and steps over to the second cage instead of going all the way down to the floor. He and Mahal fight on the wall of the outer cage. The Viper slams the champ's head into the cage to knock him down, so the Singhs grabs his legs and pull him down. They start stomping a mud hole in Randy until Mahal is ready to hit a boot to the face. The Maharaja climbs the cage while the Singhs hold Orton and force him to watch. Orton beats them up and climbs to reach Mahal.

    The third door closes before either man can escape. Mahal goes back to attacking the injured arm of Orton. They look at each other while realizing they only have one door left they can leave through before they have to climb the cage to escape. Orton strikes and hits the rope-hung DDT. He calls for the final door to be opened, but he decides to hit an RKO before he leaves. Mahal counters and hits a knee to the face. The Singhs come out from under the ring and pull Mahal out of the door right before it closes in Orton's face.

    Mahal tries to climb the cage to escape a different way, but Randy is right there to cut him off. Jinder takes a hard tumble to the mat, and Orton follows up by slamming his back into the cage wall. He goes for the rope-hung DDT, but Mahal back drops him into the cage. Orton suplexes Mahal into the cage a couple of times, but the crowd couldn't care less. He calls for the third door to be opened, but the champ keeps him from escaping.

    Jinder starts working over the arm to keep Orton off his feet. Orton stops Mahal from escaping through the second door. He hits a fall away slam and tries to get through the door himself. Jinder pulls his legs to keep him from escaping. He tries to get out, but The Viper prevents him from leaving again. That's two doors they can never get through.

    After the announcer explains the rules and the doors are shut, the bell rings and Orton runs right at Mahal to deliver a kick to the gut. He beats on the champion in the corner. Mahal takes him down and calls for a door to be opened, but Orton stops him from escaping. Randy tries to escape through the door, but Jinder pulls him back in. The door shuts for good and they realize how little time they have to escape after calling for a door to be opened.

    The Punjabi Prison is lowered down to the ring before a video package is played to hype the match.

    Sami Zayn vs. Mike Kanellis Part 2

    Sami starts to build some momentum after a back drop. He sends Mike out of the ring and hits a flip over the top rope to take him out. Maria gets in the ring to stop Sami from hitting an exploder suplex. Kanellis tries to take advantage again, but Zayn is able to put him in the corner with an exploder before sticking him with the Helluva Kick for the pin and the win.

    They are slow to lock up, but as soon as they make contact, Zayn is all over Kanellis. He sends Mike across the ring with a headscissor takedown. Maria blocks Zayn from taking a dive over the top rope. The distraction allows Kanellis to nail Sami with a huge right hand. He does some Eskimo kisses with Maria before throwing Zayn back in the ring. Kanellis continues to control the pace with a few corner clotheslines and a boot to the face.

    Someone knocks out Breeze and Fandango from off screen and drags Fandango away as the segment ends. Was he abducted by aliens?

    We are gifted with another Fashion Files segment. It still has an X Files theme. They share a hug before The Ascension walk in and confess to trashing their office. They say they did it because they felt like it. Fandango doesn't believe them because they weren't at SmackDown last week. It looks like they are trying to take the fall for someone.

    John Cena vs. Rusev (Flag Match) Part 6

    Cena crawls toward his pedestal, but Rusev beats him to it and grabs the flag stand to use as a weapon. He locks John in the Accolade on the stage between the two pedestals. He releases the hold and grabs his flag. He is about to place it in the stand when Cena grabs his arm to stop him. Rusev kicks him in the head and tries to put him back in the Accolade. Cena powers him up and walks onto the American pedestal to deliver an AA through the two tables Rusev set up earlier. He grabs the American flag and places it in its holder to get the win. The crowd actually gives him a good ovation for once.

    John Cena vs. Rusev (Flag Match) Part 5

    They fight up to the stage where Rusev is thrown into the LED board. Cena jumps off the podium at him, but Rusev catches him and hits a fall away slam on the stage. Instead of going for the win, he grabs a pair of tables and sets them up near the American pedestal. He brings Cena up on the podium and tries to hit him with his own AA. Cena counters and knocks him down. He tries to get his flag, but Rusev stops him on the ramp and they take each other out.

    John Cena vs. Rusev (Flag Match) Part 4

    After releasing the hold, Cena climbs up and grabs the American flag. He turns around right into a jumping side kick from Rusev. He attempts to carry his flag to the podium, but Cena leaps off the apron to take him down. He sends the Bulgarian into the steel steps before grabbing his own flag from the ring. He slowly makes his way to the stage, but he is too slow. Rusev brings him back and slams his head into the steel steps. He picks up the steps and hits Cena with them. Cena grabs his foot as he tries to walk up the ramp.

    John Cena vs. Rusev (Flag Match) Part 3

    They fight on top of the ring post until Rusev falls into the ring. Cena jumps off right into a powerbomb Rusev almost botches in a bad way. He climbs up and grabs his flag from its pole. He waves it triumphantly before climbing back down to make the journey up the ramp to place the flag in its place. Cena dropkicks Rusev out of desperation, knocking the flag out of his hands. He grabs Rusev and hits an AA, but he is too weak to capitalize right away. He ends up putting Rusev in the STF to wear him down.

    The crowd is mostly quiet as Rusev takes Cena down with a suplex before going back for his flag again. He stops to hit Cena with a short arm clothesline. He brings Cena near his own flag and makes him look at it before slamming his face into the top turnbuckle. He crushes John in the corner, but when he goes back to his corner, Cena stops him from climbing. They trade some shots in the middle of the ring until Rusev spikes him with a DDT. Cena tries to mount a comeback, but he gets tossed out of the ring.

    John Cena vs. Rusev (Flag Match) Part 1

    This match will be a little different than usual Flag matches. Instead of just taking it down, the Superstar who wins also has to bring it to the stage and place it back on its pedestal. Rusev tries to grabs his flag right away, but Cena pulls him down and puts him in a headlock. They end up on the top turnbuckle by Rusev's flag and Cena brings the Bulgarian Brute down with a bulldog. Cena tries to get his flag down, but Rusev recovers and hits him with an electric chair drop.

    The flags begin on special pedestals on the stage, which each Superstar retrieves and brings with them to the ring.

    AJ Styles vs. Kevin Owens (United States Championship) Part 5

    Styles reverses the hold into his own crossface. Owens rolls over into a cover and gets the pin and the win, much to the surprise of Styles. Owens leaves the ring to reclaim his U.S. title.

    AJ Styles vs. Kevin Owens (United States Championship) Part 4

    They end up on the top rope together and Styles goes for a sunset flip powerbomb. Styles pulls him into a torture rack and swings him around for a sloppy powerbomb to get another near fall. The champ climbs to the top rope and KO pops up and knocks him down. Owens goes for a superplex, but he gets dropped on the top turnbuckle when AJ slips through his legs. AJ goes back to the apron for his finisher, but Kevin rolls under the ropes and trips him. Owens shoves him into the ring post and hits an armbreaker to take advantage of the shoulder he injured on the apron. AJ hits a Pele Kick out of nowhere, but he is too weak to hit the Styles Clash. Owens sends AJ into the official. AJ rolls him into the Calf Crusher, which Owens counters into a crossface.

    Styles catches a superkick and goes for a Styles Clash, but he gets dropped across the top rope. He grabs KO for a fireman's carry neckbreaker to get a close two count. The fans chant Styles' name as he goes to the apron. He goes for a springboard 450, but Owens gets his knees up to block. He makes the cover, but AJ kicks out at the last possible moment. He follows up with a cannonball, but still can't keep AJ down for the three count.

    AJ Styles vs. Kevin Owens (United States Championship) Part 2

    Owens takes over and slows the pace way down as he hits Styles with precision strikes to keep him grounded. Styles tries to get to his feet, but KO keeps dragging him back to the mat in a headlock. AJ gets to his feet and tries to hit his signature series of strikes, but Owens drops him with a DDT for a two count and puts him back in a headlock. Styles goes to the well again and sticks every punch. He tries to build up some momentum with a corner splash, but The New Face of America keeps coming up with counters. The Phenomenal One plants him with a sit out facebuster for a near fall.

    AJ Styles vs. Kevin Owens (United States Championship) Part 1

    Both men talk a lot of trash during the official introductions. KO hits a kick to the gut to start things off in control. He puts AJ in a headlock before knocking him down with a running shoulder. Styles responds with a nice arm drag to send Owens out of the ring. AJ hits a pop up hurricanrana to send Kevin back out of the ring. The champ taunts the challenger as he slowly gets back in the ring. KO runs right into a picture perfect dropkick that sends him outside for a third time.

    Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte vs. Lana vs. Tamina vs. Natalya (No. 1 Contender) Part 4

    Natalya rolls up Becky and eliminates her out of nowhere. Charlotte and Natalya go back and forth with near fall and submissions. Charlotte lifts Nattie off the mat with pure strength to deliver a powerbomb to get a very close two count. Natalya ends up hitting Charlotte's neck on the turnbuckle to score the final elimination and become the new No. 1 contender.

    Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte vs. Lana vs. Tamina vs. Natalya (No. 1 Contender) Part 3

    Tamina breaks up Becky's DisArmHer on Lana with a kick to the head. Lana covers Becky, but the Lass Kicker rolls her back into the DisArmHer, which Tamina breaks up again. Lynch ends up making Tamina tap to the DisArmHer to eliminate her from the match. Then she pulls Lana back down and makes her tap out, too.

    Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte vs. Lana vs. Tamina vs. Natalya (No. 1 Contender) Part 2

    After taking out Tamina, Charlotte sets her sights on Lana. Tamina grabs her leg so Lana can kick her in the face. Lamina (Talana?) continue to team up on Charlotte until Becky comes in to throws some fists. She and Charlotte hit suplexes in stereo to both women before squaring off to fight each other. Lynch hits a few arm drags before running right into an elbow. Natalya takes advantage with a low dropkick to Charlotte for a quick two count. Tamina takes out Becky with a superkick and Nattie with a Samoan drop. Charlotte gets taken down by a discus clothesline from Natalya before she gets locked in a Sharpshooter. Lana breaks it up by planting Natalya's face into the mat for another near fall.

    The bell rings and everyone picks a target. Charlotte takes it to Lana in one corner while Tamina beats on Lynch on the opposite side of the ring. Tamina establishes her dominance early. Lana pulls Becky out of the ring and throws her into the side of the announce table. The Ravishing Russian pulls Nattie out of the ring and it ends up with her and Tamina against Charlotte. The Queen tries to fight them both, but they are too much for her.

    Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Baron Corbin Part 3

    Corbin hits a clothesline that makes JBL scream "Good grief," but it only gets him a two count. He hits a facebuster to set himself up for the Kinshasa. Corbin scoops him up and plants him with Deep Six, but he comes up short on the pin, too. Nakamura gets back in control and sets up for his finisher again. Corbin lays motionless, so Shinsuke picks him up. Corbin hits a huge low blow out of nowhere and the ref calls for the bell to disqualify him. It looks like this feud will continue through SummerSlam.
