Senior Producer, Branded Content

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced, NYC-based Senior Producer to join our Branded Content department. The branded content team creates relevant and exciting stories for the Bleacher/Report audience, in partnership with brands. 

The Branded Content team will be tasked with bringing the industry-leading voice and distribution strategy to brand partners. The Branded Content studio will work with brands to concept video, text, interactive and live events platforms and then execute the ideas with internal and external partners.

The Senior Producer is responsible for directing and/or producing top-level productions as well as managing and mentoring junior producers on the team. Senior Producer will also assist the Supervising Producer in identifying new storytelling trends and elevating content capabilities of the Branded Content Team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Direct and/or produce top-level productions
  • Efficiently manage and mentor other producers on the Branded Content Team
  • Responsible for driving and elevating Bleacher Report’s filmmaking capabilities
  • Work with Supervising Producer on story planning, pitch process and feature segments
  • Plan future campaigns and story coverage in conjunction with content, programming, and analytic teams
  • Create and Track Budgets and Schedule across multiple campaigns pre-sale and post-sale

About You:

  • Expert Filmmaker
  • 7+ years of video production experience
  • Expert in production management, post-production supervision 
  • Must have producer and director credits
  • Experience working with SAG and IATSE
  • Experience working with A-List Talent in sports, music, and culture
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and strategic skills
  • Must be adept at supporting creative teams to ensure strategic integrity from start of project to finish

Assistant Media Technician

About the Role: 
Bleacher Report is looking to hire an Assistant Media Technician to work in its media services department. This Full Time position will be working with our video production and media team in NYC.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate Daily Control Room Ingest process of all studio video content. This includes Live Studio Video, Daily App created video, Social Templates Video, and Field Content shot for Branded Content and Premium Teams
  • Set’s up and monitors all Live Streams to Facebook utilizing Wirecast software. Works with the Programming team on sending video to the correct live stream destinations
  • Assists in the exporting and publishing of daily video content to Bleacher Report’s mobile app and web page.
  • Assists in the ingest and encoding process of game highlights for College Football and the NBA.
  • Assists with Media Asset Management Process, tagging video content living on company production storage servers and utilizing the Media Asset Management System
  • Generates footage usage reports for across departmental video usage relating to college conferences.
 
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Television/Video production
  • 1-2 years of experience working in a media production environment. Working in a live production environment is a plus.
  • Experience with Macintosh Operating Systems
  • Experience editing using Adobe Premiere
  • Must be available to work nights and weekends

Assistant Production Technician

About the Role:

Bleacher Report is looking to hire an Assistant Production Technician to work in our busy studio production environment. This entry level position will be working with production services team at our studios in NYC.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the equipment checkout process for all productions and events. This includes daily management of the in-house equipment room and production inventory. Additionally, this position coordinates all out of house equipment orders from local rental houses and oversees the process for equipment repair
  • Primary production technician for all internal production shoots. This includes the setup and shooting of all in-house events (from a video and photo perspective), sales conferences, and internal operations/company shoots. Some travel may be required for these events.
  • Production Utility for all studio shoots. This includes assisting Production Technicians with studio camera and lighting setups, help dressing sets with props, or running production errands such as picking up or returning gear to rental houses.
  • Assist as a camera operator on in-house social shoots.
  • Act as a 2nd or 3rd camera operator on larger live or taped production shoots

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Television/Video production or media field
  • Strong knowledge of production gear and brands, specifically related to cameras, audio and lighting. Prior experience working in an equipment room or a production rental house is prefered. 
  • 1-3 years experience working in a media production environment. Prior live production operation experience is a plus
  • Prior experience as a camera operator on production shoots
  • Experience working with multiple producing staffs on projects

About the Role:

Bleacher Report is looking to hire a Production Technician to work in our busy studio/field production environment. This Full Time position will be working with our video production and media team in NYC.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Perform camera operations in studio production environments, including live show production and shooting for post produced pieces
  • Responsible for setting-up and breaking down all video equipment for multiple shoots on daily basis
  • Assists with the equipment management checkout process for all field/ remote shoots
  • Assists with studio lighting and audio mixing of live to tape shows/ videos done out of the studio.
  • Work with producing staffs to execute/DP on video projects that live on the Bleacher Report App and Social platforms. 
 
Seeking candidates with:
  • Bachelor's degree in Television/Video production
  • 4-5 years experience working in a media production environment. Prior live production camera operation experience is necessary
  • Experience shooting with cinema style cameras, specifically Sony A7s, A9 and F5 cameras
  • Knowledge of studio lighting for multiple talent
  • Knowledge of basic audio production workflows
  • Experience as a Director of Photography on Film or TV shoots 
  • Experience working with multiple producing staffs 
  • Experience as a Steadicam operator/ Jib Operator preferred
  • Drone Operator experience preferred

About the Role:

As part of our Edit team, you will work on a variety of projects from Social Media to News to mini Docs. Bleacher Report Video is on the cutting edge of the sports and entertainment industries so we’ll be asking you to push your creative boundaries. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ability to edit according to storyboards, tight scripts, and brand guidelines or with basic concepts and little direction

  • Edit a wide range of videos such as branded content, daily social videos, mini-features, music videos, multi-cam shoots, sales sizzles

  • Edit different versions of a source video with each version being optimized for the social platform destination

  • Ability to work in high pressure, fast-paced production environment with quick turnarounds

  • Ability to adapt to changes in production plan/schedules

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends when needed

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.

  • 5+ years editing in a professional environment

  • Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro, proficient in Adobe Photoshop and After Effects

  • Proficient  in color correction, audio mixing and mixdowns

  • Great communication skills - be able to give and receive critical feedback in a team environment

  • Knowledge of the Four Major Sports
