ABOUT THE ROLE:

Bleacher Report is hiring an Associate Designer for our Creative Services & Marketing team who will work cross-functionally to create and execute design-centric needs for various business units. This role will field requests from the sales, experiential, e-comm and marketing teams to deliver consistent visual branding/identity across programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrates taste and understanding in layout, typography and visual hierarchy
  • Executes consistent designs aligned with existing style guides and process
  • Participates in all aspects of design phase from sketches, through final executions 
  • Shares work early and often and seeks out constructive feedback from others

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong design portfolio highlighting layout and typography
  • 1-3 years professional experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design or related field preferred

  • Understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Awareness of 3rd party integrations and APIs

Bleacher Report’s communications team is uniquely positioned to tell the overall corporate narrative in partnership with the leadership team, while also continuing to be innovative and challenging the status quo in an ever-changing media landscape.

We have a hand in all corporate efforts such as executive & organizational communications; brand reputation and narrative; traditional, digital and social storytelling; event partnerships and sponsorships; messaging across all external owned, digital and social media platforms; media relations; and the overall coordinated communications strategy.
 
 What will you be doing?

  • This role will sit within the B/R communications group, a part of the larger Turner Sports communications team which also includes employee communications, social/video, content development, technology, and diversity & inclusion efforts.  
  • This role will specifically report to the Senior Manager, Communications.
  • Day-to-day activities to include: lead media monitoring/clippings, reporting/metrics and distribution; event research and editorial calendar development; media/press list management; strategic coordination with brand teams; creation and management of corporate/executive award submissions; project management activities including run of shows, connecting with internal partners on asset development, and event material needs.  
  • Assist with executive communications efforts including writing/updating leadership bios, coordinating executive photography with internal studios team, researching thought leadership prospects such as event/speaking engagements or profile opportunities, and researching & writing briefing documents.
  • Support staff meetings, events and engagements (lunch & learns, global leadership and/or external press/partner meetings, and other various team initiatives).
  • Oversee vendors and budget/invoicing.
  • Mentorship and guidance for team interns.
  • Will include daily administrative support for the Senior Manager, Communications and team including calendar management, meeting/call coordination and expense reports.


 What do we require from you?

  • 2-3 years of experience in a related field
  • Degree in communications, journalism, marketing or English, or a related field
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Cision, Critical Mention a plus
  • Media relations experience as well as experience crafting and writing messaging preferred
  • Attention to detail and a passion for learning
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong initiative and solid ability to build relationships both internally and externally

Manager, House of Highlights Client Strategy

About the Role:

Bleacher Report is currently seeking an Integrated Strategist to join our New York-based House of Highlights team. The Integrated Strategist is a key member of the B/R Media Sales & Marketing team and will be highly motivated to develop and maintain innovative, quality advertiser programs that generate revenue. The primary role of the Integrated Strategist is to develop, communicate, and execute marketing strategies and support sold campaigns from inception to execution.  As part of the Integrated Strategy team, this person will also collaborate with various departments (sales, experiences, branded content, editorial, operations) to deliver best-in-market integrated programs. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ideation and strategic proposal writing: Develop high impact content marketing campaigns for advertisers across digital, mobile, social, influencer and event/experiential platforms. Execute and maintain sold media programs, including but not limited to client communication, project management, and digital optimization
  • Project management includes managing all timelines, budgets, client expectations/KPIs (in partnership with sales), engaging and overseeing tactics across multiple departments and outside vendors, etc.
  • Act as an expert and resource for House of Highlights, including development of sales opportunities, industry partnerships, trends, etc.
  • Develop and communicate learnings and ideas to sales and marketing teams.
  • Support and develop signature programs as assigned, including developing and executing revenue-driving sponsorships to support them.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 years+ of integrated marketing experience at a media brand, relevant digital experience a must
  • Self-starter who sets priorities, takes on new projects and drives deliverables to execution with full accountability
  • Strong marketing/proposal writing skills, including clear and concise oral and written communication and ability to strategically develop ideas
  • Strong knowledge of current digital, social, and mobile advertising platforms and ability to implement into everyday work
  • Ability to execute and manage multi-platform marketing programs on behalf of advertisers
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and co-exist within a team
  • Hands-on experience with digital platforms and web technologies preferred
  • Working knowledge of Keynote and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelors’ degree
