Our editorial team works closely with other content departments to ensure the quality of all content across Bleacher Report’s platforms. B/R’s programming team is responsible for placing all of our content in the right places. Our social media team creates and distributes some of the most viral sports content on the web.

Associate Producer - Temp

Bleacher Report is seeking a temporary Associate Producer to assist with the management and creation of content during the grassroots basketball season. The producer will primarily be responsible for capturing content at live basketball games and managing the grassroots basketball schedule for teams and events across the country.

This associate producer will be focused on curating and posting BR Hoops-related content (mixtapes, highlights, etc..), covering live events, distributing content across all B/R’s social media feeds, and managing live-event schedules. They will be required to cover live events across all sports and will be asked to assist senior level programmers in creating event distribution plans. An ideal candidate would be described as someone that executes direction well and is diligent with their time management. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is a must. This is a position covering sports in real-time, which requires travel and working a flexible schedule that consists of night shifts and work on weekends.  


Major duties and responsibilities

  • Craft /distribute social posts for breaking news and BR Hoops-specific content

  • Travel and shoot top high school games and events 

  • Work closely with manager to ensure that games and events are properly covered 

  • Video Editing 

  • Own the look, tone and feel of a sport, platform, or stream during news and live events 

  • Assist in auditing voice across team platform; provide feedback to leaders

Breaking News Team Staff

About Us:

About the Role:

Bleacher Report is looking for a full-time Breaking News Team staff member to assign and write articles about all major and minor sports for BleacherReport.com and its mobile app. This person will be part of a team that creates timely content for sports news and events, working closely with programming and quality control teams. The position does not involve reporting or feature writing.

Responsibilities:

  • Create text articles that update readers on the latest news and happenings from around the sports world. 
  • Develop and research ideas for content by identifying events, trends, personalities that can form the basis of diverse and insightful coverage.

About the Role:

The Community Lead is responsible for creating engaging content and operating B/R’s official accounts in the mobile app. They are in charge of planning app executions around key tentpole events throughout the sports calendar and assist with developing an overarching community strategy.

HoH Social Programmer II

House of Highlights is seeking a social programmer who will work to curate content from multiple sources to post on our social accounts, with a specific focus on Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and potential new platforms. The Social Programmer will primarily be responsible for surfacing, curating, packaging and distributing various types of social content, including captions.


The role will be required to cover live NBA games events throughout the season and will be asked to assist senior level programmers in creating programming plans. An ideal candidate would be described as someone that is a fast learner, hustles like crazy, has ideas and isn’t afraid to share them or push the HoH voice in new exciting directions. Experience operating a successful IG or Twitter account is huge. 

Major duties and responsibilities
  • Discover and curate social content that aligns with the House of Highlight brand pillars and engages with the Gen Z audience

  • Work closely with other programmers to check copy and properly distribute content

  • Collaborate with fellow BR programming groups to align on voice, ensure differentiation and share learnings 

  • Review the performance of distribution plans and provide meaningful feedback, both qualitative and quantitative

Quality Editor

B/R is seeking a quality editor to review content (text, video, social) for placement in high-profile programming channels, such as the site’s home page, the B/R app and major social platforms.

Quality editors are responsible for reviewing all content bound for these channels, assuring the highest quality in regard to brand reputation, analytical arguments, factual/statistical support, copy editing, multimedia elements and formatting prior to approval.

Quality editors must also communicate efficiently and effectively across teams to field requests and fix substantive issues. Successful candidates will possess the right balance of sports expertise, prior editing experience, familiarity with established editorial standards and practices, exceptional communication skills, and dedication to the team's mission to grow and protect the site. All candidates will have to pass an editing test to be considered for an interview.

This is a full-time, long-term position requiring a flexible work schedule, including the ability and willingness to work nights and weekends. Proximity to the Bleacher Report offices in New York City or San Francisco is preferred but not required, as work on nights and weekends would most likely be performed from home.

About The Role

The Social Producer for the Social Moments Real Time team will be responsible for managing the day-to-day coverage of all of the teams real-time, high-level content executions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leading teams of editors, designers to help shape content to match creative vision

  • Contributing ideas for day-to-day creation of content

  • Spending time working with illustrators, animators and other independent contractors to create engaging content for the most important moments in sports

  • Compiling notes to guide content though the back end of production.

  • Coordinating with other branches of B/R’s social departments, sales, marketing team to execute against major tentpole events. 


About You

  • Must have a deep understanding of content creation in the social space, social media platforms, and sports news 

  • Must have experience managing large sports brand social media accounts

  • Must multiple years of project management experience, particularly around social content.

  • 3+ years experience in journalism/sports

Social Stories Video Producer

The Social Stories team is looking for an experienced, dedicated NYC-based Producer to create videos for our social channels that cover a variety of sports as well as sports culture. We work in a fast-paced, 24-7 field in a laid-back environment. You'll be in a role that allows you to work with multiple groups and networks. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Pitch, plan and produce multiple videos each week for B/R’s social platforms
  • Research story ideas and find supporting information efficiently

We are looking for a Video Editor to be an integral part of House of Highlights team, specifically focusing on back-end editing for original content projects. Other responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Assisting the entire video team on story planning, pitch process, and new segments.
  • Graphic and photo organization, edit with Photoshop
  • Performing heavy editing work, compiling notes and doing string outs to guide content through the back end of production.
