NFL Rookie of the Year: Rookies Taking Shots At Rookies?

Ok, it is true Matt Ryan of the Atlanta Falcons has won the Rookie of the Year in the NFL. And we all agree he deserves it right? Well, right? I think so. But Titans running back Chris Johnson thinks he deserves the title.

He feels it was biased, bogus, and that he had the better team and year. You're right Johnson, it was rigged. I mean who would give it to Matt Ryan right? All he did was lead a failing franchise from the depths of failure to a play-off team.

And he did it at quarterback too. Come on, what does the QB do that the running back doesn't do? I mean he didn't run the ball for nine touchdowns and over 1,000 yards, you did Johnson.

All he did was was run the team as a starter, and throw the ball for over 2,000 yards and just a few more than nine TDs. Well, a little bit more. But Ryan didn't make the pro-bowl.

That was you Johnson, I'll give you that. But when you think about it, you were one of the better AFC running backs. And had National spotlight with the Titans. Your running back competition was LT really.

All the other running backs in the AFC were not at their best level this year. You were the better one. Also you were sharing time with LeDale White. And so you were not carrying the ball as much and staying healthy.

Many other backs were not sharing time. Or were and didn't have good numbers. Ryan had competition with many other QBs in the NFC. I mean you had Donovan McNabb, Eli Manning, Jake Delhomme, and others to over shine as a rookie.

Also he didn't have the wide receivers that they did either, or the team to look at the best he could. Now that shows a lot too. He did it without much help. He just got the ball to the open man.

Not a secret Johnson, he may have deserved he pro-bowl, but with the competition and with fan votes being a big part, he didn't have as much luck getting in as you did. But the voters saw what he did with his team.

He lead his team, you didn't. He helped his team win late. You look good. That is the QB.

Matt Ryan deserved the rookie of the year nod, and you didn't. It is just that easy, Johnson. I think Ryan would have said you would have deserved it, but see that is the kind of guy he is.
