Week 16 is a crucial one for many teams whose playoff chances are on the line.

They simply cannot afford to lose a game these next two weeks or risk the chance of being eliminated from contention.

At least three teams will get knocked out this weekend and prematurely end the drama that would have surrounded them in the season finale.

Let’s take a look.

Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City actually still has a shot of making the playoffs after that miraculous win over undefeated Green Bay last Sunday.

They need to win out, hope that Denver loses in Buffalo this week and need the Chargers to drop one of their last two games.

If you think that sounds ridiculous, you're right. It is too far-fetched to happen.

The Broncos will more than likely capture a game against the slumping Bills, San Diego is on fire right now and it would be crazy if KC could pull of a three-game winning streak after they gave it their all to beat Green Bay.

Seattle Seahawks

The surging Seahawks will get a reality check against the NFC West-leading San Francisco 49ers this weekend.

Seattle has looked like one of the better teams in football after winning five of their last six to stay alive in the wild-card race, but luck and inability for other teams to close has been on their side.

Their feel-good story ends on Saturday as the 49ers crush them and try to solidify their first round bye.

New York Giants

The G-Men shot themselves in the foot by allowing the Redskins to dominate them.

They didn’t show up to play and now will not be making the playoffs.

Metlife Stadium is going to be rocking on Christmas Eve when the Jets and Giants both take the field for a game that will have huge playoff implications.

Rex Ryan’s “little brother” Jets are the better team and will come out on top, ending the postseason dreams of Big Blue.
