NFL Playoff Scenarios: Chiefs Can Thank Tim Tebow for Chance at Postseason
The Kansas City Chiefs are still very much alive in the AFC West division race after knocking off the undefeated Green Bay Packers yesterday.
If you think that’s crazy, just wait till you find out why they have Tim Tebow to thank for it.
First, here’s the absolutely absurd way a team that lost their starting QB and fired their coach can get into the playoffs according to a staff writer at The Kansas City Star.
Chiefs win out, and...
Denver loses to Buffalo next week, and …
San Diego loses at least one of its last two games.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
"
Any scenario in which the Chiefs are tied for the division title, which could only happen at 8-8, means they win the division and clinch a berth because they would have the best record in the division.
"
So how does Tebow fit into all of this?
It all goes back to the Denver Broncos drafting him with the No. 25 overall pick in the 2010 draft.
The Broncos were a disappointing team that year and decided to stick him in for the last three games and found some success.
However, new coach John Fox buried him on his bench in 2011, which was greeted by a public outcry from rabid fans.
After Denver's pitiful start to the 2011 season with Kyle Orton under center, they were pretty much forced to use Tebow, and his continued success paved the way for the former starter to be cut.
Kansas City was able to scoop Orton up off waivers, but Haley continued to roll with the ineffective Tyler Palko.
It cost him his job after the Jets blew them out in Week 14, and also because he lost a huge divisional game to Tebow's Broncos, and Romeo Crennel was named interim coach.
Orton was given his first start on Sunday, and the team played with a passion behind their new signal caller and proved that they absolutely hated the Haley regime by giving their all against the undefeated Green Bay Packers.
Because of Tebow, the Chiefs had a new coach that inspired the team to win and made the smart choice to play their best QB for the job.
Let's repeat.
Orton outdueled Aaron Rodgers and led his team to victory. He would have never been on the roster had he not been pressured off the team by Tebow's presence. Romeo Crennel would not have been the coach had Haley beaten the Broncos and continued winning.
Now the Chiefs have a chance at the playoffs. They should be thanking the rival QB and hoping he fails for the second game in a row in Week 16.
