NBA Analysis: 5 Bold Predictions for Christmas Day Games

B/R StudiosFeatured ColumnistDecember 19, 2011

This Christmas Day, basketball fans will receive the best gift ever in the form of five NBA games that signal the start of the lockout-shortened season.  The five matchups feature a new-look team, an NBA Finals rematch along with a rivalry game and two other great contests.

In one game, the Miami Heat face the Dallas Mavericks as they look to avenge their embarrassing Game 6 loss that cost the Big Three a championship ring.  With the championship banner being raised that day, expect an intense game.

In the late game, the Clippers face the Golden State Warriors as Chris Paul makes his Los Angeles debut as he and Blake Griffin look to overtake the Lakers as LA’s best.  Throw in three more games including the Knicks-Celtics rivalry, a shot of Kobe Bryant and defending scoring champion Kevin Durant, not to mention the start of Dwight Howard’s final days in Orlando, and you’ve got yourself a full day of NBA action!

Nobody is more excited for these games than B/R Featured Columnist and NBA fanatic Josh Benjamin is, and he has his own bold predictions for just how each of the five matchups will pan out.
